[Nelf /Worgen/Velf-RP] Court of Dawn

                                 **Court of Dawn**

Welcome to Court of Dawn information and recruitment thread.

On a small island in the vast ocean of Kalimdor the elven kindred are restoring buildings and homes, planting seeds and aiming to create a safe haven from the rest of the world.
In the estate of Zin`belore they gather the refugees of Darnassus, together with the worgen whom embrace the curse and use it to their advantage a new culture is developing with the nobility and ways of old yet with knowledge of the past and sworn to not repeat history.

OOC: The guild focuses their roleplay on both casual day to day rp and event based rp. These events can go from training to events that last for days with our guild or others guild in server events. We recruit all elves including void elves and worgen.

Why rp in Darnassus, it’s burned down?
The reason for us roleplaying here is because it is a perfect place for elves to be and unfortunately allot of elven settlements on Azeroth are either ruins or lacking in proper buildings for roleplay. Since Darnassus and Teldrassil are burned down, we roleplay that the city is an island of the coast of Kalimdor. It is important for people to understand that we will never force other roleplayers to use Teldrassil/Darnassus in the same way as we do and this rp is only done within our guild.

Setup of the court
Within the court we have 3 groups and each of them function as a place for all types of elves and worgen. You can gather more information on each group by clicking on “More information”.

What do we do?

  • Our main priority is to take care of the physical and mental health of our brethren, allies and any (Alliance) stranger, knocking at our gate, who might be in need.
  • We pray with and for our people, issue blessings, hold counselling, teach the young Kaldorei and our allies and hold sermons for the goddess.
-We are here to ensure and safeguard a prosperous future for our kin among an ever changing world. It up to us to ensure, the ways of our ancestors are safeguarded and maintained.
-We are currently working on rebuilding the chapel of Zin Belore. Our aim is, to make it a place of worship, worthy of the goddess, the way it has been in Darnassus.
  • We are the force of encouragement in the Dawnwind House, the pillar of strength and beacon of hope towards the inhabitants of Zin Belore and their allies. We are rebuilding that, which has been so cruelly taken from us and shall be more than ready to follow our esteemed High Priestess, regaining the sacred grounds of the Kaldorei.

Where is our base?
The Elu’rei reside within the former “The Sunset House” now Zin Belore. This place is an old Estate owned by the Shadeclover Family before its offspring, Ronolleth Shadeclover, lead us there. Two priestesses and one novice, who followed the family Matriarch, Kyrablue Dawnwind, as she decided to follow the High Priestess, have taken it upon themselves, to restore the estate’s chapel to its former splendour. After a lot of hard work, these three have managed – with help from the other factions – to free the ruin that was the chapel from all the rubble and from the entwined, sometimes hostile, roots. Grass grows on its floor once more and at the centre, the statue of Lathar’lazal and the moonwell are ready to once more be empowered.

What is our culture?
The night elves use the word “god” in plural (“Gods help us all”; “May the gods have mercy”), and the Temple of the Moon in Suramar had frescoes and murals depicting Elune and many other gods (actual gods, not demigods) shaping the world. This demonstrates that night elf religion is actually polytheistic, but above all stands Elune, the moon goddess. Her priests, the Sisters of Elune, are the leaders of the night elf military, and her high priest is the official head of the night elf nation, formerly ruling from the Temple of the Moon in Darnassus.
The night elves also worship their ancestors. This worship takes the form of offerings, traditionally rice cakes that are blessed in the Temple of the Moon. While Elune is a goddess of peace, she is not a pacifist. One of her aspects is the Night Warrior, who takes the valiant among the dead and sets them riding across the sky as stars. Due to Tyrande’s recent performance of the Night Warrior ritual, many of them now once more roam Kalimdor.

What does it take to be part of us?
As a member of Elu’rei, you must be aware that you are working to become a member of the Kaldorei leading class. That means, you will have to have some sort of maturity. Example: a sister of Elu’rei will NOT drink herself into a stupor, change mates every day or lose her temper before kin. You will have to roleplay with dignity. Of course you can show emotions, yet know that you are not a hysterical human, simply tossing among people all she/he thinks. For venting emotions, you have your superior and/or fellow sisters (in a private conversation).
You follow orders from your leaders but you also understand that you’re allowed to think and act as you’ve created your character. (We don’t wish to squish your identity.) Know, however, that we work with cause and consequence. Misbehavior among Elu’rei will have consequences for your character.
You put the safety and health of both, the Elu’rei and the inhabitants of Zin Belore above your own personal needs and defend them with your own life.
The above gets stricter, the higher your rank is. To gain a higher rank, you will have to show effort, be around regularly and be willing to learn and to accept what superiors say. Arguments are to be solved with honest discussions among Elu’rei. Gossip and backstabbing will not be tolerated ic.

What are our goals?
-To serve the goddess and the inhabitants of Zin Belore.
-To create a strong prosperous sisterhood.
-To train to gain strength and to better achieve our goals.
-To work side by side with our allies, be they Gilnean, human or otherwise.

What do we do?

  • Within our pack, we do not only fight to protect our ways, but we also safeguard them by teaching and passing them on to generations to come, just like the wild wolves.
  • We are here to ensure and safeguard a prosperous future for our kin among the ever-changing Azeroth, it up to us to ensure our ways are kept in this world.
  • We are blessed by the Matriarch in this task, and with her visions of the future, we aim to find our own home.
  • We must rebuild the home that has been gifted to us, this includes taming the wilds that is the Garden of Memories and the forest as a whole the Worgen will not bow to this place it will bow to them.
  • Lead by our own Alpha couple we do not only guard the Matriarch but we also hunt, train and kill to protect the lands promised to us.

Where is our base?
As all the members of the House of Dawnwind the Pack now Resides within The Sunset House, this place is an old Estate owned by the Shadeclover Family. The Worgen have moved into the Garden of Memories a wild place with overgrown gardens and with a huge old tree at the center. This place speaks to the Worgen as no place before it has, they see glimpses of hunts of chasing pray in open fields and forests. The Alphas see this is a place for the pack to train, to grow as a family and to be ready for what the future has in store for them. The place is not normal however the Worgen aren’t as well this place will bow to the Worgen and they will tame it and make this Garden their home no matter what it takes.

What is our culture?

  • We embrace the primal aspect of the Worgen yet we can walk the streets of cities when need to be. As we are part of an elite force we also know how to act as guards and protectors of our own and the elven kin.
  • It is our wish to maintain close to nature, to the ways of the Pack yet with a mind able to discuss and reflect, to socialize and prosper.
  • We respect our Alpha couple as our main leaders and though the pack have ranks all of them are important to us, they are our family.
  • We expect each and every Worgen to be able to fight to defend or attack, we do however understand that each and every individual have their unique way of doing so.
  • We respect the Elven ways but make sure we have our own laws and rules within our pack.
  • Romances and relationships have to be approved by the Alpha couple, they must show that it will not affect the pack in any way and prove that it is in the interest of the Pack and House Dawnwind as a whole.
  • The Pack must function as a working family and that also requires those that also have other talents other than just fighting and killing, The pack must have healers, cooks, carers and other roles that provide support in a number of ways.

What does it take to be part of us?

  • We are Worgen we do not hide from what people call our ‟Curse” we embrace it as a Gift, some see the gift as becoming closer to Goldrinn and others see it as a gift to become stronger and to push forward as a people. We will become stronger because of our gift and we will become the Wolves of War.
  • You follow orders from your leaders but you also understand that you’re allowed to think and act as you’ve created your character. (We don’t wish to squish your identity.)
  • You put the safety of our own people above your own personal needs and defend your pack with your own life.

The Court Household

More information

What do we do?

  • Upkeep, repair and beautify the Estate, the grounds and farming fields
  • Provide services to the citizens of Zin’Belore, such as commissioned pieces of art, crafted good and such.
  • Operate the Estate’s workshops (boutique, distillery, forges, shops etc), farmlands, lodging camps, hunting grounds, stables and mines.
  • Explore the academic wonders of the magical arts, both benign and beyond
  • Expand and explore the dormant Highbourne Culture, via the performance of songs and plays at the Estate’s theatre and inns, as much as offering samples of other cultures to the public.

Where is our base?
The Household’s strictly operates within Zin’Belore, the Estate’s grounds, mostly within the industrial zone and the ancient Servants’ Quarters. Exception to this include outside operations such as extravaganzas, bazaars and theatre tours, as much as the operation of the Estate’s resource gathering points within Mirthwood.

What is our history?
Since time immortal, dating even before the rule of the Queen, there existed within the magical, glowing trees of Mirthwood an estate. Many Ladies and Lords ruled it as the sands of time slowly trickled by, each and everyone adding their own spin and colour to beauty of the grounds and the sprawling forest around them. Some Lords built deep dungeons and labs, where they explored the limits of life and the nature of death. Some Ladies called to their Estate festivities and celebrations the likes of which were unseen in the ancient world. Some decked the halls in glittering golden paintings, others in the bloody entrails of their torture victims. Be it feast or famine, the Estate of Mirthwood, once known as the Sunset House, stood as a magnifying glass of its master’s soul. Artists, workers, lords and ladies from all over the ancient world would gather within the glittering halls of the Sunset House, a melting pot of ideas, cultures and knowledge, all struggling to obtain the host’s good graces and respect, and be forever immortalized by the value of their own legacy.

What is our culture?
The Household is the home for all the creative thinkers, hard workers, and lovers of the finer things in life. However, it is also the place were lords and ladies rise to the eyes of the Lady Dawnwind, a place of diplomacy, of courtesy. Politeness, manners and titles are of high importance within the Household, and even if we sometimes, in the research department, might play a bit loose with ethics, in the eyes of those around us none should be more courteous than the members of the Household itself. We are open, accepting and welcoming all other cultures of Azeroth, understanding that even if the Elven ways might be the predominant colour of the painting that is Zin’Belore, it takes more shades of blue to make the ocean sparkle.

What does it take to be part of us?

  • Be a hard, respectful worker, no matter what part of the Household you might be in, from a mere gardener to a diplomat.
  • You follow orders from your leaders but you also understand that you’re allowed to think and act as you’ve created your character. (We don’t wish to squish your identity.)
  • You put the safety of our own people above your own personal needs and defend your pack with your own life.

Uniform
Depends on the job. Usually there is no uniform, but higher positions in the Household would be expected to be dressed to reflect their status. Any display of loyalty to the ruling House will always be noted and appriciated

What are our goals?

  • To cultivate the Estate as a melting pot of ideologies and cultures from all over Azeroth.
  • To restore Zin’Belore to its former beauty.
  • To grow our network of trading partners and allies.
  • To build a self-sustaining Estate that can stand as a beacon in these dark times.
  • To work side by side with the greatest minds of our world in seeking higher knowledge.

These guys are great people but more importantly great enemies! Had brutal combat with these in both Pandaria and Westfall and it was always a blast!
If you’re looking for some good night elf and worgen RP, I recommend these guys a lot.

Great role-players, and great friends. Almost makes me want to roll an elf.

It’s always a joy to cooperate with these folks, and it brings us epic moments like T’akala vs Shalla’tor. (Our massive laser-dino vs their Ancient of War)

The next conflict is cooking up, and I cannot wait to engage you again!

A Lovely group always fun to be around them but a fair warning to those who side with the forsaken need to watch out as the court shows no mercy to the undead or allies

I’ve had a great time with these bunch, a lovely group, very inviting and homely, the casual RP is entertaining along with the events, though as Thela said a fair warning to the Undead Loyalists of the Banshee Queen, the Court shows no mercy to those of undeath, I would recommend you watch your shadows at night. ~Moonlily

Pretty good guild. Everyone’s friendly and helped me settle in on Argent Dawn. It also has enough variety for people that might have a hard time fitting in. The atmosphere is generally relaxed and the GM/Officers keep a good eye on the members.
