iOS iCloud Private Relay conflict

Hello,

I’d like to report that Diablo Immortal has a bug with iCloud Private Relay on iOS.

While this feature turned on, the game takes about 5 minutes to log me in. With Private Relay turned off, it is logging in normally.

A long while ago Hearthstone had the same issue, but I guess it was fixed, since it no longer has this conflict with said iOS feature.

Also worth noting, this was not an issue when the game launched, it only started about 1-2 weeks ago.

I’ve raised this too, was a really annoying bug to figure out what was going on. Blizzard didn’t even know what was going on, shows how siloed their knowledge is across teams / studios.

For those who want steps to circumvent the issue (although not ideal)

Steps (If connected to Wi-Fi)

  1. Go to Settings > Wi-Fi
  2. Press the info (i) button on your connected network
  3. Find “Limit IP address tracking”
  4. Toggle “Limit IP address tracking” off
  5. Close the game if it’s open and re-open
  6. Enjoy quick and seamless connection to the update server

Steps (If connected to your phone network / carrier)

  1. Go to Settings > Mobile Data > Mobile Data Options
  2. Find “Limit IP address tracking”
  3. Toggle “Limit IP address tracking” off
  4. Close the game if it’s open and re-open
  5. Enjoy quick and seamless connection to the update server
