Map Volskaya Foundry Rework Idea

Hello to the Nexus,

I would have a rough idea concerning the rework of volskaya. The idea is focused arround the combination of the objective and camps. Currently, the early objectives are week and often times even disadvantages. The reason beginning that when two people enter the robot it leaves the rest of the team vunerable since it doesn’t have good peel for the team.

So the first idea is to let only one champ enter the robot. As an interesting mechanic you could enable the team to equip the robot with camp item like the turret or healing beacon which have been collected. I haven’t thought out yet what abilities the robot should have baseline. But the turret could have add an machine gun like the gunner would have and healing beacon what heal in the surrounding of the robot like brightwing. You could also replace the 3rd camp with an item the grants either a stun or cleanse like rehgars trait.

I think this mechanic brings a new mechanic to the map pool and couple of interesting decisions when to use the collected items. Either use them directly or save them for the objective for a big push. Note that it is still valuable to collect objectives and use them outside of an objective or to claim an objective. Also denying the objective to the enemy is valuable even if you don’t have any items to make the robot stronger.
