Hi there. Yesterday afternoon I played a little, I think I went to Gnomeregan. Then I had a liedown. In the evening (ca. 4 hours later) I wanted to play again. - Battlenet app couldn’t locate the installation. I looked inside the folder. It is empty. That’s over 60 GB that simply vanished. After a few panicked moments I decided to go to bed. This morning, not only the WOW shortcut icon has vanished from desktop, but also the folder I had originally installed WOW into (which was called, for some reason, battle.net(somenumber) and located within the battlenet folder in programs(x86). I only recently did an complete reinstall because i had it originally on a remote HD but wanted it on the main HD. What in the world can have happened that the game just vanishes???
this sounds like the work of a virus. i suggest running a virus scan.
