Bonuses from 2x Grief in hand

Hello,

I noticed when i have 2x grief rw in hands on Barbar, all bonuses from this RW is include together.
Twice %dmg to deamons, twice IAS, twice everithig exept one - Deadly Strike. From two griefs i have only 20 % Deadly Strike.

When all other bonuses are include together, i think this is some kind of BUG or Error.

Have nice day,
Mike

its mechanic of the game only right hand works on this parameter. Left hand dont provide bonuses like crushing blow deadly strike…

I think its time to change this rule for Barb. He have two hands - no only one like other chars.

sure, coz 2x grief isn’t OP enough…^^

That can’t be right can it? Crushing blow must work on offhand or noone would use death runeword. Say it ain’t so!

What he is saying is wrong. Deadly Strike and Crushing blow on weapon, only works for that weapon, not the other one. Deadly Strike and Crushing Blow on other gear works for both weapons.

But he has a point, and that is for Frenzy, the game takes the IAS on the mainhand weapon, and uses it for both weapons.

Conclusion:

Grief’s bonus doesn’t add up when dualwielding. It does add up in some cases fe shapeshifting druids.
It doesn’t add up to assassin kicking yet ias%, cb% and ds% on a weapon do add up to assassin kicking.
It does add up to paladin smiting, but it doesn’t add up to kicking… Paladin in favor, again?

There’s no logic and they tried a terrible attempt to ballance out.

Then again, venom adds up to your boots while the tooltip says “your weapons” which means grief should add up the damage aswell and it should be multiplied by bonuses from fortitude, but that’s logic once again.

Yeah some of those patches done after the Blizzard North team left, that also gave us Enigma and Grief for example were crude and pretty badly done to restore some balance without any real good idea behind them, that broke game logic and made many things only understandable if had read a guide outside of game.

That is one reason why I am glad these devs for 2.4 patch at least seem to have an underlying idea of what they want to do, even if unfortunately they cannot undo the changes done in those last few patches without creating a complete warzone here. :stuck_out_tongue:

Deadly strike never works for kicksin. As well as +min, +max damage and +damage (like grief bonus +350-400). Elem damage (like 5-30 fire from grief) works.
About cb% on grief doesn’t work for kicksin - its not work for any class, because there is no cb on grief. And of course cb works great in kicksin builds, btw kicksins is second top bild for ubers after smiter (and the only reason for smite to be top is - smite always hit, ignore target defence, ignore target block chance and level difference between attacker and defender)

Would that mean that for a ww barb, the only single benefit of using a second grief in offhand as opposed to a broken weapon is the extra damage to demons? That sounds so ridiculous that I need confirmation i understood the data correctly.

Nobody mentioned grief giving cb.

Ok, you told - kicksin get ias, cb and ds benefits, so should +dmg bonus too.
But, as i sayed, kicksin doesn’t give benefit from ds, same as CS. And each spell in D2 have something, which make each unique. I.e. - ww doesn’t proc “on striking” effect from gear exept weapon. I.e. - Venom from grief proc from ww, but life tap from drakuls or AD from atma’s is not. WW only affect by weapon ias but not from ias on other gear or effect. And this have positive and negative possbilities. Yes, its make more difficult choose to weapon base, but also its make ww not affected by chill and slow (like decrepefy) effects - attacks per sec still same.
In my opinion, here is two spells required dev attention more then kicksin - amazon fend and druid fury. Both can be interrupted (kicksin DT and barb WW is not interupteble) by fhr/block animation. Just weird, two last-tier spells has interupption, where first tier assasin spell has not. Kicksin in favor, again?
