Bots are working

let the boots work. only in that way I can get a LO rune for 20PGMs in few weaks :))

How exactly is this impacting you directly? I get it feels unfair but at the end of the day this doesn’t impact me other than maybe loot envy but at it’s core doesn’t impact my actual ability to play the game.

Feels very much like calling the cops on your neighbor because someone else does their yardwork or walks their dog and seeing that makes you upset because you have to do your own yardwork and walk your own dog? Maybe if someone at work is stealing or forging work and gets a promotion over you but you aren’t really loosing out on anything when someone else is botting.

Now spam bots… that’s a completely different story… that’s like getting those auto dialer phone calls all day and that is annoying.

cheaters ruin star craft 2 and blizzard dont care. i think diablo 2 seems story. Who cares about players when they buy product already?

ya, but they will sell other products in the feature right? e.g. Diablo 4, and, after playing this poor D2R I will definetely not pre-order D4, not play it first day, but wait for reviews after 2-3 months of release. If there will be server isssues, no-endgame, no loot(like in lootless D2R, where they expect players to buy items with real money on those sites…), boots… … then I will defenitely not buy D4.

Basicly figuring out the bots takes money and time.

Unless it starts to hurt sales i do not think they will do anything.

I dont understand who force you to buy items on the sites? I just played the game and some trade in the game and have all of i need anni, 7 heroes full of uniks and sets, infinity, torches and another stuff. What you want from the game from 2000? I think if you like diablo 2 d2r the best choice.

dont worry. watch some videos about d4. you ll get mostly a d3 remake. so best for ppl like you.

Why be butt hurt about other people using bots? Honestly, I can’t see how that would ruin your own game experience.

Only bots i freaking hate are the spam bots that makes the general chat impossible to use, no other bots are limiting my game options. In fact it’s quite nice to join Baal runs hosted by a bot that doesn’t accidentally write wrong next game name, or suddenly have to take a piss and have everyone wait.

Because it’s a multiplayer trading game.
If they didn’t take part in trading or sell their items most people wouldn’t care.
When ladder starts, bots will most likely win the race to lvl 99. And that would be sad aswell.
Bots affect the game experience so people judge.
Some people don’t compete and so they are not affected by them, so they don’t care.

Inwiefern haben Stiefel jetzt mit diesem Thema zu tun? :man_shrugging:

That is, actually a good thing with pirate servers: they have freedom to ban botters and real money traders with no need of any formal evidence. I wish it would be also that easy with official battle net, but things are much more complicated here.

There are people doing rmt in PoD right now. They didn’t get rid of the problem. Banning people without evidence always ends up with innocent people getting banned. So i don’t agree. But a little bit of moderation is better than none.

This can easily be fixed by tuning drop rates to be more realistic, not once a week drop. But I think Blizzard is aware of the issue and won’t do anything about, either because they don’t get anything out of it or because fixing it is too hard

“Just” a significant point. This is why external software autoing gameplay is prohibited and will lead to permanent bans of the Blizzard-Account (including the paid game license) if detected.

If youre not smart enough to get that drops are influenced significantly by number of players in the game, it’s your private problem.
Additionally, there are thousands of possible worthy drops. If you know only some 20-30 uniques, it’s the lack of knowledge that makes you feel unlucky.

Impossible to run a week in games of 4-8 players and drop only 1 “good” item. If you feel so, you just don’t know what you missed on the floor or sold to NPCs as “crap”.

There’s nothing to fix. If they try to “fix” that like they did in D3 after the whiners, this game would quickly turn much less important.

“Argumentation” of a bot user? I’d say it’s a significant point if runes like Ber are at high worth and I have to spend time to farm other things to get paid for high values (or be overwhelming happy when I dropped one!) - or having no high values to earn and Ber runes worth just some PGems.
It’s “just” the difference to be done and equal to other people’s equipment in 2 days or 6-12 months. First may be well for game swappers. But deadly for the game. A game needs to create and keep a long-term player base - or it dies. D2 wasn’t changed for 12 years and has proven this in an extraordinary way. It additionally proved that a game doesn’t need risky content changes to keep alive.
Content changing is basically made to keep the community to the game, paying for virtual contents via itemshops. Btw. a good static game can stay well with a changing player base and leaving players who return later.

Bots in any game kill the economy, within the whole game experience. As like a “duping exploit”, just a bit slower.

Duping floods the market with ultra rare items, bots do the very same thing, as you run 24 hours a day without attrition.

The economy is ruined, noone wants to play, and so it all falls to pieces. Blizzard then make weird diablo clone mechanics to try and balance it out but it doesnt work. Everyone has perfect items for a Lem and there is no sense of satisfaction.

Think back. Think back to Everquest and Ultima. Think back to Fallout 1 and 2. If you got a good item it was incredible, you based your character around it. Now - You just buy it for 50 cents off someone on the dole.

Brill.

I’m not going to get into it too much because it is not worth it, I totally agree with what you answer people the game will die if they do not put the batteries with it, or do you think I’m going to stick 12 h playing to drop a pul and sell it for 10 fg , is that what you want to go back to 2012 when the game was taken by bots and hacks and you get something good and not worth anything the d2r I think it was made to play many years more if you put bot people stop playing in fact more than 3000 people stopped playing because of the problems that had the servers and the bots or get really serious about this or the game will die and it’s a shame

Holy cow - thats horrible. The lack of soul is astounding.

SSF ladder is the answer.

It would solve the rmt problem.
But you could still get far a head by using a bot.
