I was thinking about spirit base…but about Crystal Sword. I dropped crystal sword in NM Cows and socketed at Larzuk for guaranteed 4 socs. CS from hell will roll 6 soc at Larzuk.

Only if ilvl 26-40. If the ilvl is <25 it will roll 3 sock from Larzuk. Not having a way to precisely know the ilvl of a cs in Normal it would be a gamble to go to larzuk.
A Crystal Sword dropped in Normal Cows is guaranteed to get 4 sockets from Lazruk. There is no risk.
What about if the ilvl of the crystal sword is <25?
Depends on the weapon, but if you’re still talking Crystal Sword then it’s 3
If you pay attention and remember where it dropped you can simply check a list of area levels and determine if ilvl is high enough
edit: normal cows is lvl 28 and crystal swords ranging from ilvl 26 to 40 always have a max 4 sockets, so they’re safe to larzuk if you need the Spirit

idk… closed hell with my java with a minimal poor build (merc: tal, treachery (got it by act4 or 5, can’t remember), insight), me: spirit, titans (NM meph), razortail (got it by act 3), smoke… everything else was just random for resists, IAS… Not an “easy ride” but doable. Don’t forget to skip and sometimes reset maps. Also, TP staff may be handy.
I can give you Razortail and white monarch if you want, but believe me, those won’t make your life much easier with immunes, you’ll have to learn how to deal with those. Hell is a challenging difficulty for some classes with no gear

There is literally a post about a guy going to Larzuk with a CS from normal and getting only 3 sockets if you don’t take my word. I tell you…the cs needs to be ilvl >25 and lower than 40 in order to get 4 socs otherwise you will get 6.

Because any area before act 4 is lvl 25 or under and thus crystal swords found in those areas will never give more than 3 sockets.
Act 4+5 are entirely lvl26+ with the exception of Bloody Foothills (lvl24) and frigid Highlands (lvl25). Crystal swords found in those acts (besides those 2 exceptions ofcourse) are eligible for a 4 socket larzuk reward.
Quite obviously the guy got his CS from somewhere earlier than Normal Cows. Notice he doesn’t say where he got it. And did you even read the replies to his claim that you linked?
I’ve socketed over a dozen CS’s from Normal Cows thus far to make Spirits for my various casters as I got bored passing it about from char to char. I know that’s not proof but just google and you’ll see I’m right.
A CS dropped in Cows is guaranteed 4 sockets, please leave it at that, you could be generating unnecessary concern for new players who don’t have one yet.
New players need just follow these easy instructions:
Did you find your crystal sword in act 4, 5 or the cow level? if not, into the trash it goes.
Did it drop in either the Bloody Foothills or frigid Highlands? if yes, trash it.
If after answering these questions you still have your crystal sword, go to larzuk and add 4 sockets. Add runes for flavour and rejoice 
You are right. Once again I haven’t read your post fully…only skimmed it, and didn’t notice you specified cows. Thought you were saying any Crystal sword in normal will get 4 soc. Anyway.
