The meaningless 2.4 patch.
The current patch is useless.
Skills of some classes were raised, but the number was too low.
So even if a patch is applied to the main server, popular builds will not change.
The developers have been working in vain.
Yes. Please, change rune drop rate back to 1.12.
It will make 2.4 patch great again.
the work is not in vain. the point was not to raise ALL CLASSES but to make other ones on a par with the best. Also to allow for other skills to be used and not just cut and paste builds . in this they have done a fair to good job oc there are things we want on a personal pref but its not about just one build its about the whole game .
Completely true… I will stop playing if this is what they intend to release as 2.4… I played this game since release on and off and i am not going to wait 20 more years for a meta shake up… Get your s… together Blizzard and make some meaningful buffs to old useless skills.
I do agree that some changes feel lackluster, but some are great. I for example, am super excited to play as assassin. They tried to make fire druid a thing, they kinda made a “meh” build that sort of is “feasible” at least. At least its not total garbage. Bowazon is also pretty fun now.
So I don’t agree with general “patch is useless” dramatization. It gave me at least 3 more builds to try out, and that’s cool.
they need to add an end-game, otherwise any balance/whatever patch is useless.
Tbh I’m fine with no completely shake-up. The game is in this state for quite a while already (class balance wise) and lots of people like it as it is rn.
Imo it is a very good approach to come up with class changes rather carefully and see how those things change stuff. Or not. I would consider big changes that render existing chars/builds completely useless and creating whole new meta that is fully different from before rather unappealing tbh.
There are quire a few builds that I’m looking forward to try out, like Fendzon or MA sin. Yeah maybe the changes arent enough to make those S tier farmchars, but those are at least more viable than before and probably more fun as well.
Tbh if you really don’t like the concept of D2 as a game, why are you still around here? Just for the whine?
For me I did buy fallout 4 f.e. those days and didnt like it. I stopped playing it, neither blaming the devs because me not liking the game isnt their fault, nor blaming the community which does like the game as it was.
I really don’t understand what you are trying to do here all the time … why is it so hard to accept that the D2R is from the concept just as right for many people as it is?
Read the blue fix post for your own good.

if only it was true
2.4 is only the beginning. Don’t like it? Don’t play the game, nobody is forcing you. Creating an endgame is useless until the classes are on par.
When act 6 com… ups , sorry, I say nothing
well you must not worry. we will never see 2.4 and/or ladder as it seems…
for how many people is D2R right? and for how many is not right? or are you saying 99% like it and 1% not? no man, majority expect and expected more from this remaster, and Blizzard presented it as a Ressurected which will bring content, and they start to add content, as you see(this post is about a patch that will bring content, if you not understood that). so why are you crying? go play D2 original if like original soo much.
The majority didn’t expect any changes above graphics. Btw. the devs said there will not be further changes to ingame concept. This was why a lot of people bought it. Breaking the concept will mean loss of players.
Nonutz people crying for “endgame” will never find. This game is neverending in PVP and item perfection plus a damn lot of skilling variants allowing to create 30+ different chars and gaming styles.
Casuals looking for another “endgame” should immediately end the game. Fast and silent, please!
You consider yourself as a “majority”?
PS. By the way, I remember you promised to quit this game a couple of months ago, and still you are here nevertheless?
Hydra sorc is somewhat viable again, ergo you are wrong.
Besides, this is not a total overhaul, it’s an adjustment patch, and if the changes haven’t been significant enough to matter they’ll tweak it for next ladder.
Besides, the content of the patch is much more than just balace changes - for instance, tons of quality of life stuff will be introduced, including but not limited to buffing non-A2 mercs, making it so you no longer have to go to NM to pick out a proper Holy Freeze merc and making mercs hired mirror the character’s level so you don’t have to deal with a lower level merc.
If you are under the delusion that the patch is only about balance changes you’d still be wrong, but that’s not all it’s about.
No we didn’t. You apparently did, but you’re not “majority” mate
I knew exactly what the remaster was gonna be and was actually pleasantly surprised by some of the changes they did make to it that I did not expect. So except for the rocky start with the servers, I got more than I expected.
Try again, but this time speak for yourself only.
have a look on the post here with the reddit voting for changes on the game, 70+% want new content and end-game.
20-30 dinosarus are not a mojority, are just life loosers who farmed nothing for 20 years on this empty game D2/D2R.
I think that if you ask reddit players if they want a free ferrari with D2R you will have 100% positive feeeback
70%+ so lame
dinosaurus here. I wouldn’t mind new content if done well and doesn’t make the gameplay we know obsolete. New content that isn’t op but fun and doesn’t overload the game like in PoE. Examples: New Areas in A4, 1 new skill for each character, A4 Merc, some well balanced items that fill a niche, i’m even up for a new act if it adds stuff and doesn’t replace excisting onwa because it gives too much benefits. A place that gives similar exp/hour as baalruns but not more. Adding Options for the players.
But think about what they achieved in the last 5 months, almost nothing. Even now some features we had for 20 years in old d2+lod aren’t working properly.
Priority in my eyes: 1) Fix the game features (Lobby&Chat) 2) Balance stuff 3) Add new content

Agree- The goal is not to create a new meta but to make more builds viable.
