Last few season i was experiencing random crashes. Sometime the game froze and crashed, resulting in a error report box. Sometimes i was playing, no problems at all and suddenly the screen just closes and i’m staring at my desktop. With no error report box or anything.
I only have problems playing diablo 3. All my other games just run fine for what my computer can handle.
Just for season 24 i did a clean reinstall of windows. Games run fairly well but still freezes or just closes sometimes.
Things i tried so far:
- Running the game in 32bit and 64bit
- Turned down the the sound channels to 16
- Turned off all sounds and music
- Used the FMOD method
- Updating drivers for my graphics card and other things on my pc
- Closed down as much as possible background applications and other things i don’t need while i’m playing
- Set graphic options at the lowest or turned off what i could
- Tried different Hardwareclass levels in the d3prefs.txt
- Running as admin
- Fullscreen and windowed mode
- reinstalled Diablo 3
- Cleared the cache
- Scan and repair
Here my pastebin of the last crash i encountered. Maybe this could help to try and figure out what the problem is. Playing hardcore is not fun this way.
As a novice looking through it i saw this:
UNHANDLED EXCEPTION: NONCONTINUABLE_EXCEPTION (c0000025)
Googling this error shows up plenty but no real solution as far i can search.
My specs:
Windows 10 pro
16 gig ram
i7-6700K
AMD Fury R9
SSD 970 EVO
