Necro question - In-geom and Bone Armour

I started a new seasonal Necro this morning and got the Grace of Inarius set. I am cyrrently doing GR45 with plenty time left (defensively not great though).

I typically use Bone Armor for good damage, I use Land of the Dead on final boss or when in trouble, I spam Death Nova to expend Essense, and plenty of Corpse Explosions when I can. To generate Essense I use Grim Scythe.

I read the following on Icy Veins:
“Making a mental note to spam Bone Armor Bone Armor on enemy packs during In-geom In-geom uptime. The In-geom In-geom proc will effectively nullify that cooldown, allowing you an easy proc of Krysbin’s Sentence Krysbin’s Sentence on every pack with a Dislocation Dislocation cast.”

As I understand it, In-geom will trigger after you kill an elite pack. Then for the next 15 seconds you can cast Bone Armor repeatedly. But in practice, I do not get overlapping elite packs, so why would I use Bone Armour for trashy mobs? Surely it’s good to have those 15 secs of free Bone Armour but I think it is not that useful to make me cube it ?

In Geom is for the speed farming build. By enemy packs he probably means elite packs, which can either be a blue group or a group with a champion with a blue pack (where you have to kill both the champ and his followers). So you have to be doing so much damage that you can run from elite pack to elite pack. If you can’t do that you shouldn’t use the speed build.

Ah OK thanks, I’ll pass for the time being as I am not that quick from pack to pack.
