Butcher Meat Day Contest – Terms and Conditions
1. Contest Details
Activision Blizzard UK Ltd (the “Promoter”) is running a contest, the “Butcher Meat Day Contest” on X (Twitter), Instagram and Twitch (the “Contest”). The opening time and date of the Contest is 10:00 GMT 09/02/2024, and the closing time and date for receipt of entries is at 23:59 GMT 18/02/2024 (the “Contest Period”). Entries submitted after this time will not be considered.
2. Restrictions
This Contest is only open to Austria, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom residents aged eighteen (18) and over only. Directors, officers and employees of the Promoter and any of their respective affiliate companies, subsidiaries, agents, professional advisors, advertising and promotional agencies involved in the Contest, and immediate family members and those living in the same household of such persons (whether legally related or not) are not eligible to enter or win any prizes in this Contest. Subject to all applicable laws and regulations.
3. Rules to participate
The Contest will be run via the Diablo IV Forums: https://eu.forums.blizzard.com/d4/. Although the relevant social media platform’s terms of use apply to content on and use of that platform related to this Contest, X (Twitter), Instagram, or Twitch are not a sponsor of, or affiliated with this Contest.
Each entrant must be a registered user of X (Twitter), Instagram or Twitch (as applicable). During the Contest Period, entrants must kill the Butcher in the Seasonal Realm in Diablo IV following the start of Season 3, and post on one of the social media platforms listed above a full-screen capture proving the kill, showing both the entrant’s Diablo IV character name and their Seneschal companion, using a dedicated hashtag #ButcherMeatDay in their post (the “Post”). Submissions must not be obscene, lewd, sexually explicit, disparaging, defamatory, libelous, or otherwise contain inappropriate content or objectionable material.
By submitting your Post, you acknowledge and agree that Promoter shall be deemed the sole and exclusive owner of all rights, title, and interest in any material you submit as part of your entry and shall have the right to publish your entry on its social media channels and/or other properties.
Each entrant may only enter the Contest one (1) time during the Contest Period. Submissions received from any person, account or email address in excess of the stated limit will be void. Submissions generated by script, macro or other automated means are void. Submissions containing only emojis, reactions or unrelated text will be void.
Three (3) winners will be randomly selected by the Promoter.
The winner selection will be conducted by Promoter. The judges’ decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into.
4. Prize(s)
First winner will receive:
- 1 x Tripleclix Diablo IV Branded Wooden Box,
- 1 x Diablo IV Limited Collector’s Box,
- 1 x Accelerated Battle Pass code for Season 3 of Diablo IV for Battle.net or Steam
Second winner will receive:
- 1 x Diablo IV Limited Collector’s Box,
- 1 x Accelerated Battle Pass code for Season 3 of Diablo IV for Battle.net or Steam
Third winner will receive:
- 1 x Accelerated Battle Pass code for Season 3 of Diablo IV for Battle.net or Steam
Promoter will be responsible for prize fulfilment.
The winner will be required to provide Promoter with personal data necessary to arrange delivery of the prize.
There are no alternatives to these prizes. They are as stated and are non-transferable. If due to circumstances beyond the control of Promoter, Promoter is unable to provide the prize, Promoter reserves the right to award substitute prizes of equal value. All prizes are subject to the terms and conditions of the supplier. Any taxes due on the prizes will be paid by the winner save for any tax which is required to be paid by Promoter under the applicable laws.
5. Results
The winners will be contacted via DM on X (Twitter), Instagram or Twitch (as applicable) or via email by Promoter’s representatives once the Contest has closed.
If the winner cannot be traced after reasonable efforts have been made by Promoter, Promoter will be entitled to select alternative winner from among the entrants.
A list of winners will be available for four (4) weeks following the day of the selection of the winners. This list can be obtained by writing to Butcher Meat Day Contest, Activision Blizzard, The Ampersand Building, 178 Wardour Street, London, W1F 8FY.
If proof of age and/or parental consent is requested, and if satisfactory proof of age and/or parental consent is not received, Promoter reserves the rights to choose another winner.
6. Data protection
By participating in this Contest, entrants hereby acknowledge that Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. may collect and use their personal data in compliance with applicable laws and regulations and its Privacy Policy accessible at Blizzard Entertainment Online Privacy Policy - Legal – Blizzard Entertainment in order to organise, run and monitor the Contest as well as for carrying out publicity activities on it. Entrants confirm that they have acknowledged Blizzard’s Privacy Policy. Entrants’ personal data may be transferred to the United States of America for the purpose of this Contest, in accordance with Blizzard’s Privacy Policy. Entrants have the right to access, ask for erasure, and correction of their personal data and can request such action at Blizzard Support - Contact Support. Please note that if you withdraw your personal data prior to the determination of the winner or fulfilment of the prize, Promoter will not be able to include you in the Contest and, should you win, send the prize to you.
6. General Conditions
Any entry, which does not comply with the rules, may be deemed invalid at the sole discretion of Promoter. Promoter is not responsible for technical, hardware or software malfunctions, misdirected entries, lost or unavailable network connections, failed, incorrect, garbled, delayed electronic or other communications or other technical problems related to mobile entries. Proof of sending will not be deemed to be proof of delivery.
Any entrant who enters or attempts to enter the Contest in a manner, which in Promoter’s determination is contrary to these rules or by its nature is fraudulent or unjust to other entrants including without limitation tampering with the operation of the Contest, cheating, hacking, deception or any other unfair playing practices such as intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other entrants or Promoter and/or any of its agents or representatives, or who submits an illegible or incomplete entry may be rejected from the Contest at Promoter’s sole discretion.
Entrants agree that their names and/or likeness may be used to announce the winner via X (Twitter), Instagram, and/or Twitch or on Promoter’s websites and be included on the winners list as mentioned in section 5 above.
By entering this Contest, entrants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and by any other requirements set out in the promotional material. Promoter reserves the right to modify, cancel, terminate or suspend the Contest in whole or in part, at its sole discretion, if it believes the Contest is not capable of being conducted as specified in these rules or in the event of a virus, a computer bug or unauthorised human intervention or any other cause that is beyond reasonable control of Promoter that could corrupt or affect the administration, security, impartiality or normal course of the Contest.
This Contest is governed by and is in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. For residents of other countries, national mandatory provisions of consumer protection and prize promotion laws will also apply.
