Same here… After patch.
Game is unplayable. crash in inwentory , menu ? Whats going on?
I found a solution to this problem for myself.
When we try to interact in the game, a request is sent:
[Sigma] [tact] [:0]: cURL request 'http://us.cdn.blizzard.com/tpr/fenris/data/28/84/2884297cca1526ff70530535405ced8a' failed with 28: Timeout was reached
Until the request receives a response, the game freezes.
To make the request return a response immediately without waiting, I blocked access to it in Windows. After doing this, the freezes stopped in the game.
Solution:
- Navigate to:
C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts
- Add the following lines to the hosts file:
127.0.0.1 us.cdn.blizzard.com
127.0.0.1 eu.cdn.blizzard.com
Content-Length: 239087231
230MB patch maybe? But why download that during the game and block on I/O. If everyone is trying to download that file, while playing, no wonder it times out.
Hi everyone. I discovered the issue on the morning of December 7th, 2024.
The game client started behaving very strangely. It freezes when you use teleport, open the blacksmith, jeweler, or inventory. It’s impossible to play. The freezes can last from 30 to 50 seconds.
I spent two days trying to figure out the problem. I ran the game on three different machines, with different components, and different operating systems. I swapped graphics cards, from green to red and vice versa. I changed IP addresses. I changed regions in Battle.net. On my main computer, I reinstalled the OS (the latest version of Windows 11), updated the drivers, and installed the latest Battle.net client, but it still doesn’t work. This is just awful.
There is no pattern at all.
I opened a ticket. I got an autoreply, and the ticket was closed. Great job, guys.
The lack of communication from Blizzard regarding this critical bug that literally makes the game unplayable is truly baffling.
Really helped! Thanks Bro!
Add at the end without any #?
I asked because a have a lot of things there
Wanted to put the screenshot but the forum won’t let met idk why
If your hosts
file already has some entries, just add two new lines at the end of the file. Like this:
Don’t forget to remove them later once Blizzard fixes the issue.
Thanks bro , work !!
Worked for me as well, thank you very much.
Hello guys. I added the folder with the game to the exceptions in Windows defender and in the game client I removed the tick from the ban on updating during the game - and in the first hours everything works - maybe it’s diablo that drives me but there are no more friezes
viewing the cache is instant and the portal is also normal in its time, as well as communication with sellers without delay
It works too! Thanks!
Just choose “never automatically apply updates” and “pause updates when I launch a game”.
