There was a patch today, and I thought everything would be fixed, but oh my God, Blizzard!!! Please resolve this issue! It’s impossible to play.
A tough day for me, in 5h 32 mistakes, I’m thinking of leaving it for the next season
I get occasional crashes too. Runs just fine, then instantly to the desktop with the little fenris handler popping up, maybe every hour or two.
I’m hoping it’s sending something useful to the D4 team
Just seems every time they add stuff to the game, it gets wonky. I bet they’re working with spaghetti code leftover by contracters that didn’t care… as it so often is.
Would be nice if any decent loot and such were at least recovered in some temporary space if you get disconnected or crash at a bad time.

It starts to get frustrating. The game was not having any issues before the DLC. Now I am basically getting crashes on daily basis and already lost multiple HC characters due to that. SO far good job. I can’t imagine why this is not a priority to the team since they must be getting thousands of error reports with the same symptoms.

Thank you everyone for the reports, and especially to those who have been able to share workaround that worked for you.
I realize that most people here would have already been through this, but I would be remiss not to ask everyone to first and foremost make sure they’ve been through the troubleshooting steps here.
For anyone that continues to have problems, rest assured that each and every crash report you send along goes a long way to diagnose problems, and our teams have already done a lot of work to address the most common causes for crashes, with more improvements still to come.
So even if we can’t get back to you on each individual case, please know that your reports are being seen, and do help!

I will say that the latest patch 2.0.3.58850 has been (so far) way more stable than I’ve seen for my system. I’ve managed to get an hours game play (so far as of writing this response), which is roughly 55 minutes longer than I’ve ever had since release of VoH.
I’ll continue to monitor the situation on my rig (as I don’t want to speak too soon).
That said, appreciate the update.
Shit’s still crashing like mad by just playing the game. When’s this going to get resolved? The expansion has been out for more than a week now without any improvement.

Since the patch this afternoon/evening (in the UK at least, patch 2.0.3.58850) I’ve been experiencing crashes with the following error message: “Diablo IV has run out of memory and the application needs to exit”

Before today’s patch, I never received this error. My PC has run Diablo IV just fine until the launch of Vessel of Hatred, since which I’ve had numerous crashes.
I rolled back my GPU drivers and that seemed to solve the majority of issues, but this error is new today.
i have the same promblem since the release of the ( patch 2.0.3.58850 ) from yesterday. as soon im in the game 2 mın sometime 5min the game freez and crash, during a boss fight, looking at loot, is when i open the Uİ for character gear.
right now the game is totaly not playable.
I mean, the game was already technically terrible in terms of performance before the patch and I was hoping Blizzart would finally improve it with yesterday’s patch, but no, now they’ve made it unplayable, at least for me.
I am also crashing more since patch 2.0.3. I have had a number of crashes to dekstop and one bsod when I was alt tabbing out of the application. Its totally random and can happen in different areas and doing thing. From helltide to opening charatcer inventory.

Oh dear oh dear oh dear - I spoketh too soon. After a solid couple of hours gameplay yesterday, came to log on today and can’t even get past character loading screen now after numerous attempts.

You’ll be getting them - by the sackload. Given the speed at which crucial issues get resolved, I suspect those reports are transported using RFC 1149.
Satire aside, at least we’ve had a blue post.

same for me…from Vessel of Hatred launch i crashed every now and then.
sometimes the PC crashed and restarted (freezed - blue screen) (not so often)
I payed 49€ for an alpha game. And several objects disappear for crashes (not saved by cloud)
It reminded me of the “Windows troubleshooter”, it’s useless but it’s there.
The reason is because they have got your money and they could not care less about anyone who has paided up.
