The question is still if we should remain in the character choice window and try to start a game or should we restart the game and hanging in the login queue for >1h. Do you have an advice?
i have yet to see someone getting into the game after seeing this error without a relog… so it’s eternal " start game " with the error, or relog with an insane queue… no good fix.
I tried to reconnect for 30 minutes… did not work… finally re-queued.
Edit: One thing you could try is to turn off your internet and turn it back on, maybe they got a reconnect function when internet gets back.
I have this error since start and as i saw on twitch im not only one. So dont know what do you mean serveral but for me it isnt several…
Experiencing the same issue. Played up until level 12 - disconnected to char select screen - wont let me progress back into the game.
Some clarity about next steps would be great - whether we should have to close the game down and renter a long queue to get back into the client - or just wait as we are in the char select.
Please provide this.

Same error here, at least i got to play for 1 hour. Now to wait for 1 hour to enter again
Soon? from the begining of beta i was spending in queue 4 hours and still left 63 min, for only 30 min of playing, this is disaster!
nice one… waited in queue for 90 minutes now after a disconnect - got in a again, played for 4 minutes and got disconnected again… guess what… FUCKING QUEUE again
just watched quin go through queue, get the error. go back through queue and error still the same

In case it helps debugging. My loop currently looks like:

Wait at the ‘authentication pending’ screen for a long time (was 30 min, is lower now)
Get in, select my one character (sorceress, lvl5?, ice bolt+incinerate)
Spawn at the deactivated first town portal thingie
Walk to the first spider den on the right
Error 316719 when figthing those mobs using the skills mentioned above.

Exaclty same problem… i dont mind waiting 2 hours in the QUEUE, But if you waited in the queue you should be able to play… And not get the stupid error Code in Char selection… What the hell is this… We have 2023 …
If i am waiting in the line and its my slot to enter the game, it shouldnt matter if i go to town , go to bathroom or make a coffee… Its MY SLOT in the Queue…
Waiting in Queue just to get an Error and then going back into Queue again feels extremely unprofessional and suspicious.
SPECIALY CAUSE THIS IS THE PAID BETA… its not like half the globe trying to join the game… Did they expected only 10 people want to play or what?
And we cant even watch streamers, cause they get kicked out too… Must be great marketing for Blizzard if 30.000 PEOPLE at Quin69 seeing a buggy, error game… People will pretty sure buy the game after this mess…

Back in now after requeuing -seems very arbitrary whether people are still stuck or not.

After sitting at the character select screen for almost 2 hours I only get the error code repeatedly. When attempting to create a new character it will generate the same error code but create the new character in the list to choose from (duplicates included). Difficulty doesn’t matter and character choice doesn’t matter. The only option is to exit and re-face the queue monster. Good luck everyone!

we should all refund and refuse to buy till the servers run without a problem.
Bliizard does what it does best and has perfected over the years and that’s producing error codes

Need to Qui game, and go back again in Queue for 45mn now…
the only solution for the error 316719 now, seams to be to restart the game.
had it now 3x times, after got kicked from the game… only working solution for me was to restart. luckily without a long Queue.
