Bought a lot of stuff but recently I’ve had a lot of irl expenses so haven’t been able to put anything into a game I only half-heartedly like.
I wish I liked it though. It’s neat sometimes.
But why play if you can’t get the stuff from the season? And I can’t get that if I don’t buy the battlepass. And if I can’t buy the battlepass I can surely not get any special weapons or something.
Getting and having cool stuff is the only thing going on in D4. And loot has little to do with that.
That’s how I feel about it.
So now though, I’ve missed a couple of seasons, and now I’m feeling behind on the wings+other cosmetics. And that makes me feel it’s better to abandon and not play.
And I won’t. Not for years. Perhaps never. Cause I just can’t find anything worthwhile IN THE GAME.
Only the shop has items of value. And the fomo passes. But since I’ve missed some fomo windows it doesn’t make sense to play as no matter how much I fork I won’t get those fomo things.
And why would I fork by the way? The gameplay ain’t even that good. It’s just a faceroller mostly. Until it gets insanely hard, suddenly, as the gear defense is insufficient.
I confess I start the game periodically to see if I get any free drops.
But it’s last breaths going.
I just write all this out of boredom also. Come here to troll the empty halls of a dying infant game.
It’s all quite sad, really. So much resources and yet no direction and no vision.

The reason I don’t play D4 is because it’s not a good game.
It should be more micro, like in the mobas. That’s what I think. The mobs are all dummies.

Back in the day, Diablo 1, I was warrior and there was tactics. I remember how deeply I felt for the game back then, and how little I feel for this. It was a dark game.
It was a simple game but it had an essence this game lacks. It’s not just me, it’s the whole thing that’s just hollow. I don’t feel it. I can’t find an obsidian ring of the zodiak. Even when I do find something it’s just… Not the thing. It was simple back then but there was value. Now it’s just another bad thing you get, mythic or not. And they look ass. You gotta buy or you look bad. Not that I mind… What I do mind is that there’s not a single item to find in the entire game. No wait, there was that crown I got from the vampire; that was actually good for my rogue.
I understand how you feel about the game i spend lot of hours and still enjoy it. So i understand why i read forums but explain to me please why are you here?
The experience of playing D4 is, in my view, superior to every other ARPG I’ve tried. I’m not saying the gameplay systems are deeper or anything like that, but the experience of actually playing the game just feels better. It’s just more fun, in my view.

To me it’s just nothing to find. I buy my thing in the shop, say a new hat. It cost about 25€ but I get other things with, in the set, that I might want later.
I put on the hat, feeling good about things, and walk out, kill some devils.
The devils are slain in moments but so are the good humours from the new hat.
It’s now an old hat and there’s no things I can get to replace the hat, not in the game.
I visit the gypsy again, but she’s out of hats, I’ve bought them all for now.
Even if she had hats I know that it’s over, that it’s a bad idea to spend hundreds of euro on virtual hats to find satisfaction when the actual deliverance has to be playing. But to play without any hats to find is useless.
And even then, if there were hats to find, I would have to bury myself in bossing which I frown on.
I wanted to roam the world, procuring hats but also meeting people randomly that also were seeker of hats, and we would sometimes make company for moments.
These things kind of happen and they also kind of not.
I think, unfortunately for me, it’s over. But I wish you good fortunes, travelers.

Fair enough. I’ve never cared about cosmetics in games, my priorities when it comes to games are gameplay > atmosphere/sound design > presentation/graphics > story/characters.
I just don’t love the gameplay.

And it’s not really the cosmetics but the loot, I perceive the loot to be the cosmetics because the items are all just generic. Or whatever it is. I see it that way.
Like I find the harlequin’s cap but I’m not feeling it anymore.
And builds also. I got my certain build I do but it’s just bad. I have this idea that it’d be a hybrid melee and ranged rogue. Of course, because rogue has a bow and swords and daggers. But it’s bad. It was almost alright at some point but lately it’s just been bad.

It sucks, imo. Idk what’s good about having a leveling system which main feature is disallowing immediate relevant gearing.
I’d take a paragon reset, that’s cool np. Would be fun even, I get that.
But when I can’t find relevant items FOR NO REASON I find that as.
Edit: Ran the first stages of the season and I have to say that I am pleasantly surprised.
Was fun. Even met some people running it also, on the way in. That was good.
The boss was hard but not a damage sponge and I made it, just barely. And the enemies died, and they did damage; neither slog nor bore.
And that’s why you shouldn’t listen to every ignorant salty rant of the net.
But sure, I don’t see how this goes. But the beginnings was nice, must say.

I have enough. Put a lot on cosmetics in this game, and I don’t mind that.
I just think others should also be able to enjoy various cool styles and I think that the game would become greater from it dropping more kinds of cosmetics.
Perhaps this will change with time, perhaps not. It’s not really my problem, just something I thought about.

you are not alone, alot other peoples want the game be different…Non stop peoples want that,…and indeed that is nice,that means this like more work for whole team devs and for his imaginations,creatives…I not say think like you and want the game be like you…The game or all ARPG games is like 100 different versions for peoples..and including PoE 2 and all rest not so popular games..you know that is impossible to happen often in certain a time or period of time.. And all this happen often in game industry or for genre ARPG…Some day maybe you find your game…i hope so…
