Legendary Drop Rate TOO LOW!

Flash news : We are playing game we gonna get at the official release. This is not longer beta we played 2 months ago.

No one wants 100 legendary drops per minute, and the fact you are over exaggerating means you literally have nothing to say to disprove what i wrote.

On D3 until you get to T6 legendary items do not drop, because you aren’t spending that much time in lower tiers. You are in T6 4 hours after creating a character (if you play solo) And even in D3 while leveling on normal, you get 1-2 legendary items per hour.

The fact you don’t know this means you haven’t played D3 at all.You are pulling imaginary facts out of thin air because you have nothing valid to say.

I have been playing D4 since last night (to be precise from 1 AM) and i just got my second legendary item. That’s almost 14 hours into playing.

No one wants 400 legendary items per hour, but that doesn’t mean there shouldn’t be legendary items for hours at all.

Having Codex of power doesn’t justify non existant lege drops in the slightest.

And finally, land learn what ARPG games were supposed to be all about.

Maybe, because, you know, you shouldn’t have legendaries by level 20… get excited when a rare drops, it’s RARE.

Legendaries are for high level, not for the first 2 hours of playing a character. If you have the luck to get one it’s awesome, but don’t expect the game to shower you with legendaries as a low level. That’s just poor design.

The only problem with the drop rate is that we only have this weekend to take down Ashava. I’ve gotten ~5 but 3 were unusable, one I got in the first few hours so it isn’t strong enough for LVL15+ and 2 others required over LVL20 so I literally can’t use them :frowning:
However I think you can still do the crafting stuff to put the legendary abilities onto rare items so you should at least have some legendary like stuff available to use if you just clear out the dungeons for them. If I can’t beat Ashava with my current gear that’ll probably be what I set out to do for the second spawn.

Actually, its not 2 hours, its been 14 hours into farming dunegons, events and open world mobs. I just got second lege, not as drop but from Obols vendor.

People dont understand simple thing.

No one wants 20 legendary items per hour, but having at least 1 every 1-2 hours would be something that’s actually makes you want to play game.\

Blizzard deserve every bit of hate coming their way. They nerfed everying and lowered lege drop chance by 99% ,what did they expect honestly?

Its gonna get worse once beta is over.People are too busy to hate atm.

Think that´s my first Troll, thanks

What would be the point of getting more legendarys at from level 1 - 20, in the second to easyest game mode ?

In lower tier´s and low level´s they should be Rare, part of getting into the higher tier´s is getting higher drop rates.

Personally i would like legendary´s to feel like legendary´s and have that “WoW” factor when it drops. That is what D2 had and how it was when D3 first came out.

I’m inspecting level 20’s in town and everyone has at least 2 legendaries equiped. That’s what you call too low? There will be more ways to get legendaries at higher levels, be sure of that.

In D3 you didn’t even get any legendary at level 20 tbh, hell, you maybe even didn’t get any by 70. It’s on the higher dificulties that showered you with legendaries, so be patient and you will have them when the game launches and you get to endgame

Please, let’s not turn Diablo into a Christmas tree just to avoid crying children who are used to having everything and being overprotected. Diablo IV it’s too easy nowadays.

Thank you Blizzard for your ongoing work!

Droprates are perfect. You OP are wrong. Play one of the shitty hack and slash games where u need a bloody loot filter to even see trough, if that is what you want. Otherwise d3 is there for you.

We are not able to go the other tiers, so even though most likely that’s the final release with very few tweeks here and there, we are not able to see how the drops are on world tier 3 and 4, so until then my opinion is adamant, that you sir are a crybaby.

Believe me I have my fair share of time clocked in D3 there is only 1 season I haven’t played in all 28.

I got 1 legendary until I was 20, and one after palying for a while in 20. Maybe you just had an unlucky run?

Weird I only have one and it’s useless.

I did not get a single drop of legendary in any dungeon boss, chests, from elits…wasted like 1000 obols and the same thing white/blue/yellow. The very first legendary item I got from killing Ashava tier2 in full yellow set.

But what kinda made me angry is that after the kill we get that weekly legendary box, you would expect a legendary item or crafting/upgrage matts would drop…but no from that hard earned box I got “2white, 1blue and 2normal gems”…awsome. The legendary drop rate nerf affected even the legendary box itself. Second legendary item was Vigos neck… 3rd legend was from killing Ashava 2nd time (but was useless item).

So after doing lots lots of dungeons it dropped nothing, boss drops nothing but blue items. Butcher never appeared in any of those dungeons so no clue of his drop rate.

I think there fine tbh, as u go into WT3 and 4 they drops more often anway and you shouldnt be getting them at all much during leveling process they should be rare. Yellow should be your gear your using mostly all the way up to 50 and u wanna try and get a orange drop of the skill u want a tsome stage to put the skill on a yellow piece. u only need 1 legendary and u can keep recyling the skill onto higher gear so there no reason for them to be super common.
I got 2 oranges in my play through one of final boss in story and one from world boss catch in WT2 funny enough they both had the exact same skill on chainlighting has X chance to hit 2 more targets
people got spoiled in beta with drop rates foir testing them out haha

excuse me ?

diablo 2 have been a famous “trading game” not a grind and loot
everything was duped and traded and hacked

80% of the playerbase was standing still in town in trade chat lol

But it has to be that from a certain item level, these items are rare, otherwise Blizzard has to introduce another item level to make it exciting and interesting and rewarding again.

Blue items are so the standard at the start of the game and are then replaced by yellow items at some point quite quickly, almost too quickly actually, if you think about a release, where you play then not only 2 days…
But somewhere there must be a threshold where strong items are simply rare to very rare.

Imagine the opposite of this…
We swim then already after a week in legendary items… What would that bring?
Even yellow items should again get a somewhat, moderate drop chance and not occupy the entire item set in a few days… It just has to be like that…
Especially if you pass these yellow items through the chest to your twink army…

Well, I imagine we are not supposed to test anything other than server stability, really

I imagine that the devs will listen to feedback, but not have time to implement it for release. I think the main goal of Server Slam - and maybe their only one, is to make sure the queues are as short as possible for launch and the online experience of the game as stable as possible.

Anything else is just a fan service, I think.

LordByron has a point. It makes sense that the item drop rate is what it is for the Server Slam.

I tought I would enjoy when legendaries dropped often, as they do in Diablo III. After playing that game on/off for a decade, I have found that I prefer the drop rate of Diablo II: Resurrected, then that of Diablo III: Reaper of Souls.

The issue with being rewarded too often, as others have hinted at, is that you do not feel grateful when a legendary drops.

I felt ungrateful for every legendary that dropped in Diablo IV Open Beta. I either salvaged them for their cosmetic rewards or extracted them for their legendary power, just so I had it. Then came the Server Slam edition and I coveted any legendary I could find. I even started to want to complete any dungeons for their Codex of Power if they aligned with the build I was planning.

Now that, I think, is the healthiest gameplay. Not a loot hunt for instant gratification but instant gratification when a legendary or higher drops

droprates fine
my rogue has full legendarys

have more in stash. played whole beta on world tier 2. also got lots i cant even use cos they are over level 20.

that being said nearly all the ones im using are scrapped legendarys and the affix slapped on a rare.

Legendary items, imo, should be rare, but impactful, drops. I got one so far, something to which I am honestly fine. I do think that rares could be a bit more common to compensate.

tldr, I don’t think that you should be decked in full legendary gear after 8 hour of play. D3 sort of got us used to that, having legendaries drop everywhere, having 5 versions of the same so called “legendary” item in out stash and needing to introduce mechanics to somehow still make the drops useful (as resources). We need to move away from that.

Item drop rate is WAAAAYYY TOO LOW!

Killing bosses in a dungeon to only get 1 blue or just gold is not fun. Clearing entire dungeons and getting 1 yellow that is half my level is not fun. Killing Ashava and getting only gems from the World Boss box is not fun. Killing a World Boss and getting 1 legendary and 2 blues is not fun.

We need more Champion/Elite packs and they need to drop more items!

I don’t mind having a low chance of dropping higher quality gear. I just want MORE chances! Sometimes I just want a yellow boots to replace my old yellow boots and I have to clear the entire map before I get an upgrade to my yellow boots! That shouldn’t happen at low levels especially when my gear is sub my character level!

Leave the grind to end game items, not items that help you progress through the game!
