The same thing happened to me when I opened the game after the update and 5 stacks of 45 living steel were removed from my inventory. It took days and hours of collecting for them to be removed. 
I am play 12-15h in day. I am did Helltides constantly. And season bounty too. I havenāt done much dungeon running.
100 pcs of living steel were missing from the chest. Very disappointed with the quality of the game.
700 eggs and 700 shards gone missing from my stash, some other things as well but this is the main issue. This needs resolving fast, my clan are not happy and think i have done something dodgy with them. This new patch has just brought more bugs but as stated in another comment, how are they going to resolve this? no ticket system any longer and who has the time to look through the forums. Im done with the game bug after bug, we grind and things get stolen from our stashes.

I also missing around 400 eggs and 400 shards. Just 100 left of each mats. Are they doing this so you have to invest even more in a boring season?
I was holding tha mats for most of the clanmembersā¦ we all farm and when we have a bunch we go bosses. How can blizzard just remove our stuff like that?
i understand they want to remove duplicates and sellers. but hard earned mats thats taken hours to farm? i feel violated.
Is there slavery in your clan? And you, as a slave owner, collect eggs from the entire clan?

Ive got same problemā¦ Im lost mats and uber uniqesā¦ and noone want help me. U sholdnt take money for this game.

My money is on ignored, I had less than 5 summons of duriel and logged in today to only 3 eggs in my inventory and no shards. So thatās cool I guess, canāt even hold onto 5 boss summons 
I had 420 Distilled fear for 5 hours ago, i logged off to take care of other things in life, and when i logged back in 220 Distilled fear was goneā¦
Wy do we even play this game when they take our hard earning materials?
Iām guessing ignored as well. I lost mats that I 100% farmed myself. Itās a shame that players are being punished for others exploiting their game.

Same, logged in today and missing some of my mats. Been farming and saving for when friends come over from WOW to give D4 a shot. Welp, looks like fewer end game runs, glad I spent hours in helltides and the new event getting whisper mats for nothing
