Mother's Rose and Cow Level Problem

I have spent almost the entire day trying to complete the Secret Cow Level.

I have completed almost all the steps without any issues. I successfully obtained the first and second items, but I am now stuck on the third one, Neyrelle’s Hand.

I managed to obtain two out of the three required items for the key:

  • Hierophant Skull

  • Father’s Chain

However, I cannot obtain the third one: Mother’s Rose.

I fully equipped the Amazon Training Set and went to kill Vasha, but she never drops this item.

I have tried everything:

  • Logging out and back into the game

  • Removing and re-equipping all armor pieces

  • Repeating the quest segment

  • Moving the armor set to another character

I also tried some community suggestions that seemed completely unrelated, such as searching for and opening a Silent Chest, but nothing worked.

Mother’s Rose simply never drops, and I am unable to continue the quest progression.

Have also tried doing all of these things, as well as repeating the quest segment on an additional 4 chars, so 5 chars total, and all of them have had the full set, but the rose never drops

Same… Hours of work for nothing.

Still bugged. Will this be adressed soon? Sorry but it takes hours to do the previous steps and its annoying to be stuck literally at the end.

Same here, and I keep getting Amazon tunic drops now since I got my last piece, even with the whole kit equipped, and on different characters.

edit: I’m wondering if it’s because I dropped difficulty a couple of times as I acquired pieces and powered my char down.

edit 2: I did what Bunnicula said in this post and got the mother’s rose

I try it too, but nothing helpes. Is there any other clue or Idea to help? so many hours, i dont want waste them. plz help <3

I was soft locked for a long time, did all the steps and tried all the suggestions in forums. Repeated quest, switched characters, scrapped all the armor pieces and started over. When it finally worked for me, one thing I did differently was that I used the armory to switch from my training gear (all pieces) to my regular gear. Then I reequipped the training gear and went back to Vasha and it dropped. I may have returned to read the tome before Vasha.

I’m not certain the armory is a fix or if it just randomly worked for me, but hopefully this helps someone. Moo.

The whole cow level in diablo 4 is just idiotic. It used to be rather simple to enter into one, but now all the things one must do to get into the cow level is just diabolical.

Had this issue across two different characters - refarming the set, completing a different sin first, and resetting the Anger sin didn’t work.

What DID work in my case was dismissing my mercenary & reinforcement, and disabling summons (in my case, the Spirt Wolves runeword) so that I was the only one doing damage - the Mothers Rose dropped when I landed the killing blow on Vasha.

This solution also worked for my partner, who is actually the one who though that getting the KB might matter (ty Minjara!).

Note: The Mother’s Rose drops at your feet, not with the rest of Vasha’s loot - I almost missed it.

How I finally got Mother’s Rose after being bugged for 1.5 days (Working Fix / Workaround)

Like many of you, I was stuck on the Anger quest for almost two days. Mother’s Rose just wouldn’t drop from Vasha the Unbroken, no matter what I did. I tried every standard fix floating around — changing sins, destroying the training armor, farming dozens of amazons, naked kills, and even trying different characters across Seasonal, SSF, and Eternal realms — nothing worked. Here is the exact step-by-step sequence that finally broke the bugged state and dropped the item for me:

Reset the Quest: Go back to the board/journal and burn the Anger sin anew to fresh-start the step.

Strip Down: Remove all your current armor/gear completely.

Get a New Helmet: Go straight to the mannequin, farm/obtain a fresh helmet, and put it on immediately.

Equip Piece-by-Piece: Go farm the rest of the Amazon Training Set pieces one by one. As soon as a piece drops, equip it right away before going for the next one.

Kill Vasha: Once all pieces are freshly dropped and equipped in order, head over to Vasha the Unbroken and kill her.

I’m not 100% sure if it was pure RNG or if equipping each piece immediately upon drop reset the item check flags on the server, but after 1.5 days of trying everything, this specific order finally dropped Mother’s Rose. Hope this helps anyone else losing their mind over this bug!
