Online game without multiplayer

D2 had Lobbies, D3 had Match Making… D4 completely lacks EITHER of those or a LFG, bafflingly opt’ing instead to go with either Friends/Clan or encountering random people in the open world, NEITHER of which are great options if you’re someone that does late shifts returning home past 2am when no one’s around…

Stopped even before the official release. But I will not stop complaining because I paod A LOT of money. The 1st game I played in my life was 8-bit Kung Fu fighter. It had the same enemy scaling and repetitivenes… So ye, 30 years later there are no excuses for taking money and having 0 creativity.

crybaby right here. should do some research beforehand

So you are happy with the game state? Ok. There are all sorts of people around the world

It’s called a chat. That is literally the best social system for any online game… Then there’s the friends list where you can add people to it and invite to groups from there, or invite to group from said chat. Then there’s the guild system…

How is it possible to ignore all of those features and show up on the forum to whine about the lack of any such features?

Clearly you don’t know much if anything at all about the Diablo franchise…

EVERYTHING is RNG BASED, even boss loot tables, and that’s how it has to be, otherwise it just wouldn’t be a Diablo game.

It is a loot hunting game. You run about doing stuff, killing monsters, looting chests, destroying destroyable objects for randomized loot.

The whole point of these games, is to spend time farming everything for said randomized loot along with crafting materials.

Obviously we’re gonna get set items. That’s also what Diablo is all about. Farming until you get those set pieces with those perfect god rolls.

Gotta love it when people brand new to the franchise start whining on the forums about the game, simply because they understand so very little about it.

My tip. Quit playing. Ask for a refund and go play games that hold your hands and provide you with specific loot from specific bosses and such. World of Warcraft might be more up your alley.

Good grief…

This is not a typical multiplayer game nor is it an MMO. It’s a shared world always online game. This is something we were told way before the game was released.

Diablo games have always had a tiered difficulty system…

The only incentives to do things together is the world bosses. That’s about it. Everything else is like previous diablo titles, except here, you have to be active when wanting to play with other players and be social rather than spend time sitting in a lobby looking for open parties to jump into.

“ingame” not out of game features, sure there’s the friends list… how do you know who to add from ingame? There is no chat ingame… noone actually talks via text. There is no community.

And I’m not “whining” I’m just saying…

That said the way you say things… i’m not surprised there’s no community or chat ingame… now if you don’t mind, go troll elsewhere.

Stop fan boy defending… we’re all quite aware of what was said before release, it has no foundation on what we’re talking about here, if you want to brown nose the devs, make a post about how the sun shines from them… if you’re happy with the game… well, that’s on you. We’d like improvements…

There are in-game social features. Doesn’t require rocket sicence to find them either.

No one talks because you’re either not in a channel, or you’re not bothering to use the chat yourself, or you’re playing before or past peak hours.

There’s also a guild finder feature, and guilds are the main social hubs for most people.

When did i troll? You’re coming off as a hypocrite with that statement as well as a butthurt child who can’t have their candy when and however they want it.

I’m stating facts.

Clearly you weren’t aware of much of anything judging from your little temper tantrum.

You’re the very definition of a Hypocrite, bud.

Isn’t diablo 4 literally multiplayer without offline mode?

How many people did you play with so far? I made it to lvl 70 and played in a party only 20 minutes.

Yes, that’s what D4 is, an always online shared open world multiplayer game, which they also advertised it as, long before they released it.

It amazes me that people don’t read up on things they want to fork out money for, it really does…

Nobody reads the fine prints or any other additional information on products, be it physical or digital anymore. Each new generation of gamers seem to become more and more lazy and entitled. :man_shrugging:

I generally do not play ARPG with people because for me ARPG experience is best when played SSF
In POE i never did play trade or in party…i always go HC SSF or SSF

Me neither. That why I quit POE and purchased D2 Resurrected…

In the era of the driverless car we don’t need to worry because in a short while we will be able to party with proper AI bots that have more skill than us, speak and type better English, even turn up on time  … I’m sure we will only be able to tell the difference because they will not be allowed to be Toxic  unless they are coded by Blizz or Microsoft - lets hope they do this via a 3rd party.

This will be the next big thing - AI-MMORPG :robot: :robot: :robot:

Ya, this is incredible. Diablo Immoral had 100x better mulyiplayer choices, and dvdn global chat thete was fun. of course, the problem was that is p2w.

I agree. Game feels like you play in a silo, and you usually have to use 3rd party sites or apps to find people with similar interests to play with. Parties often do the same stuff as you would solo - NM Dungeons and maybe Helltide. There’s not a lot of diversity of activity to do in parties (might as well just do them solo).

Yep. Let them play with themselves and move to the next game or go outside. Might be a good thing in the end. Until they replace us in real life too and it all returns to dead space with lifeless parts just moving around aimlessly. Most of our rulers sure push us that way.

You meet people and exchange items and bond here as well, this is not on the game, this is on you

Guild Wars 1 had competent bots to party with for dungeons, and that came out almost 20 years ago. :stuck_out_tongue:

Easier said than done. If you are on console, it is quite a long investment just to type 1 message with a controller. Slightly less long with a plugged in keyboard (if D4 even supports that as chat input).

As for PC, most PC players also don’t respond when someone is writing messages in chat.

In this entire month I have talked ONCE to someone via text chat and that player was even from PlayStation.

Kinda sad, that PC players are so distanced now, when they used to be much more socially active back then.
