Players are leaving

I see tons of people in towns and in the field :man_shrugging:

I’m stopping playing if they dont add legion raids like in Lost Ark, and complex content and bosses and BIS only in raids or in group

Sorry to dissapoint you, but PoE much complex game and actually nowadays its a the game in what all ARPG should look. trust me PoE2 will eat D4.
Ill give you example. How do you think from where Blizz took the paragon board? from where in D4 are so many dungeons(like maps in PoE).And even with better graphics PoE1 much better then D4. Blizz takes money and takes the silence like literally 0 communication with player base ZERO.

Its the basic game…what did you expect ? its like this for every single game ever launched. It takes years to get a game into “shape”. Took years for poe, years for ffxiv same for elder scrolls.
Are you brand new to the genre ?

Are you new to the genre, arpg ?
It takes years for every single game to get into “shape”, like poe forexample. Thats the idea behind a league / season system.
Your entire post screams nothing but you being a big baby…honestly. What did you expect ? its the base game. How about giving it a chance before being a brat.

I know - Poe is way ahead of blizzard, which is sad really. Since Blizzard got ressources…but then again, they made wow which has been a shitshow for years…if you want to pay a subscription then you might as well play ffxiv…

But yearh, cant w8 for poe2 or even 3.22

Player leavng after launch is more than normal, however many aspects you mentioned should be dealt with.

But difficulty of the game is made like in MMO. If you are a tank, you can go AFK with 10 mobs around you. If your not a Tank, you must nuke trash enemies or they destroy you.
Playing Sorceress i see no reason for health as a stat. Its either above 70% or I die to a single hit. And the higher level I am, the better equipment I have, the higher the threshold is. Now I feel like aything under 90% is an instant death.

And class design… Well main Sorceress has so terrible abilities its better to have 3 defencive ones and heroic over conjuration and mastery spells. Blizzard is bad since D3, Meteor is very questionable, fire wall should allow us to rotate it before placing, ball lightning moves too fast, hits too slow, deals too little damage has too little range to be useful even on large enemy packs. It works only as enchantment when it procs on stunned enemy.
Hydra is weak, Ice blades feel like they dont even deal damage (?) and lightning spear strength lies in its stun chance, where its outperformed by ice nova, and in… lightning heroic that can spam over 10 of them

But why Blizzard toughts its good idea to make firebolt, Incinirate and fire wall DOTs i dont know, especially firebolt enchantment applies DOT, while Incinirate and Fire Wall doesnt do direct damage and thus, dont apply firebolt enchantment…

Aye people are leaving in droves… the endgame is a deadgame… can’t get upgrades for sacred or ancentral except after doing grinding boring gated content… why can’t they just continue the blacksmith salvage method… after the story campaign is complete the game simply dies. No wonder everyone is leaving.

Log on during the week and you’d think you were playing a solo game.

Why don’t you just go play Lost Ark then?
Diablo doesn’t have, & probably never will have raids, because it is an ARPG & not an MMO

Then leave. If youre that unhappy about the game.

Since you said nothing against my argument I’ll asume you agree. You know that referring to the amount of years played or if I’m new or not to the genre has nothing to do with the arguments I’ve shared (google ad hominem fallacy please).

This is Diablo 4, not 1 or 2. I do expect that after 3 previous releases at least the game loop will be consistent and appealing. The game has been out for 3 weeks is a bad argument, Diablo 1 is from the 1996. Torchlight , PoE are also a good reference for inspiration and indication what works and what doesn’t, no need to go through a discovery processes after 3 decades.

Like I said before, it’s not a bad game. I think it has some fundamental flaws around creating an incentive to maintain people hooked after finishing the campaign, specially after lvl 70.

I’m not seeking your approval nor is needed. I’ve shared what I think are the keypoints to target for improvement to make a better game. This is on my own interest.

So true man. I wonder where the 10 Years development time went into. Because it was NOT the game…

Just going to say that you haven’t fully developed your character at lvl 75 my man. You still have a lot to go.

PoE is a terrible game.i started playing it and stopped after a few hours because it was so bad. D4 is way superior to that trash.

People really need to stop with that braindead way of thinking.
It’s because of people like you that the major companies in gaming industry keep producing bad games with bad launch, because you settle for something trash despite paying the full game. And then expect the game will meet decent standard monthes from now.

This is not what you expect from an AAA game costing 70-100$.

Yes, you do not need to go through discovery, but developing all that the other games have, takes a non-zero amount of time anyway. Google “timespace continuum” please. PoE is decade ahead of this game, because it literally IS decade ahead of this game. It might take little bit more time for D4 to show us, if it can or cannot compete against the titans of the genre. So far it loses to PoE very hard, but the combat is fun. It’s just … everything else … . And everything else (mostly QoL and more content) can be built in iterations through seasons. At least the the QoL though, yeah … should have been in the game on release, 100%. More stash, stash search, gem tab, all of it.

because not all players are no-lifers, no-job, no-friends… and only play game 18/24.
so, for those with a full time job + other activities, to continously add new item tiers, new levels… … means they will never catch up at the point where d.g. theycan say: “ok, I am strong enough, let’s try do some pvp”
do you know what I mean? you can not tune the game for pro players with 100% time dedicated to the game, as they are max 5-10% pf the player base, you need to tune it for masses so everybody can enjoy.

Oh please do not make this an MMO. because this is not an MMO

Yeah, for this reason I think, the seasonal reset is actually very “casual friendly”, even though the casual players seem to be the ones outraged by it  . Resetting progress benefits them the most. It means that experienced players still have advantage, because they go into the season with their know how, but they don’t get to leverage 10k hours of grind, the casual and/or new player did not put in. They just need to make the pace of progression faster imho, because the base game does feel like a chore on high level and casuals can’t imagine doing that chore again  . That might be already resolved by XP buff in battle pass though and possibly new world tier.
