Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out with a heavy heart as a long-time fan of Diablo 4. Unfortunately, after the recent patch, I feel like the game I initially paid for has changed drastically, and not in a way I can enjoy anymore.
Before the patch, I was able to fully experience the max-level world, bosses, and progress my character to the highest levels without issue. However, with the new changes, it feels like I’m being forced to purchase additional content just to enjoy the core aspects of the game that were once available to me. This was not what I signed up for, and it’s very frustrating to see these critical parts of the game locked away now.
I genuinely loved the original experience, but if this is the new direction of the game, I no longer feel it’s something I want to invest in. I’m kindly requesting a refund.
Has anyone else experienced the same issue, or is there any advice on how to handle this with Blizzard?
Thanks for your understanding!

What do you mean by?
“However, with the new changes, it feels like I’m being forced to purchase additional content just to enjoy the core aspects of the game that were once available to me”
Just so I can understand
Playing from Diablo II, I have finally decided to quit. I was playing for hours to optimize. Then they mess up the gear as legacy. Fooled me once, shame on you. Fool me twice… With this update the whole paragon system and gear wasted as ‘legacy’ …what…again?! Then I find a strange rearragement of the damage/def relation and suddenly there is ‘durability’. I just hate it when you’re building your doll, and spend a lot of time to finetune it, they suddenly screw your stats. And buying for a graphic layer for over 20 bucks… Apparently only for the rich! So they’re not that different from those modern asian P2W-models.
And then you have that massive casino-effect. When I finally-finally-finally find a 3-star legend, then with tempering and such it always comes with worthless random rolls. Uniques still aren’t really distinguishable from the legendaries when it comes to powerstats.
Graphics are amazing, really, but it lacks the ‘soul’ it had with D2. The last draw is, when you have an issue or trying suggest something, you HAVE to post it on forums. Screw that, because you’re attacked by those insensitive ‘strong opinion’ alpha whiners who per definition don’t agree with anything you come up, unless it is their perception; not getting response from the blizzard team, hiding behind an unreachable ‘generated barrier’.
And for the record… You have to do some tremendous damage to let me quit on a game like this. Therefore, I refuse to invest further in the game. Keep THAT in mind, instead of finding my mailbox for commercial offers!

I did a refund the moment I saw what happened to my characters.
Ok it wasn’t the end of the world probably… I could get those 10 levels and eventully recover from the changes but on principle… thats not how you manage Expansion and stat changes.
They should have left everything available to level 50 players (level 100 players). Why is paragon behind level 60 when at max level before you could use your paragon points??
Why can’t we continue to summon bosses like before??
Why did ilvl 600 gear went to 540… and why also ilvl 925 went to 540?? 925 should have dropped to 700-800 range no?
Ancestral items are still in the game… the previous Ancestral items should have stayed Ancestral and just drop the ilvl accordingly.

What I meant by that phrase is:
Before the patch, you could enjoy important features of the game, such as playing at max levels, fighting the toughest bosses, and progressing your character, all without needing to buy any extra content. However, after the update, these parts of the game seem restricted unless you buy the expansion or additional content. This makes it feel like you’re being forced to spend more money to access features that were once included in the game when you initially purchased it.
So, im essentially saying that what you paid for has changed, and now you’re expected to pay more to get the full experience again.
I kinda agree but there is no way you will get a refund simply bc #1 you purchased a license to play and you played it, #2 if you preordered in the US they made it practically unrefundable (btw other countries have consumer protection laws that prevent this shit) bc they instantly put account crap like the wings on your account that they say they can’t remove (lies), ( tried to get a refund on my preorder the day after i got it bc i paid 100usd for it and it dropped 50% off the next day) anyways i am so glad the metacrit score has dropped to 2.4 today lol fk this shady company that use to be great.
Wait what? I can´t play this season unless I buy the expansion? Is this true?
U all are crybabies really hahahaha the game is in a mich better state now, except they once again broke the game with the expansion bit overall the campaign is great, the spiritborn is awesome and the next class will be a paladin for sure.

It sounds like you’re enjoying the game and appreciate the improvements, despite the expansion causing some issues. The campaign and Spiritborn class seem to be big hits for you! As for the Paladin prediction, that would definitely add an interesting dynamic if it becomes reality. Everyone has different experiences and opinions, though, so it’s understandable if some players might be more frustrated with the recent changes. Glad you’re having fun with it overall!
Aye this game as it is now isn’t near what they said at it should be. This game is more and more going towards D3. It is to easy and to fast. Items shouldn’t be trowed at you.
