S10 the “game changer” season except for the rogues

If I look at the Pit Leader Board rankings, which aren’t really useful except to record class balance over time, I notice that the Rogue has been dead last for the last four seasons and second to last if we go back five seasons.
While I don’t care about the rankings, the balance still has a direct impact on my gameplay and how I feel during the season.
Today, I’m having a hard time feeling any pleasure for the class, the successor to the Demon Hunter, which I’ve designated as a “core class” in my mind, but which has actually been a trash class for a very long time now.
I’d like Blizzard to explain to me the design of this class, which isn’t a tank, not a DPS, not a stealth class (barely), etc.

If you don’t care about pit pushing, rogue has one major advantage this season: it can deal damage without using resources with Dance of Knives and so, we don’t get the penalty from A Beast Cornered.

In general, I agree. It’s been hard to find good pit pushing rogue builds in last seasons. Perhaps it’s not the class strength.
