Do you enjoy the game?
My enjoyment of D4 varies from season to season, because devs keep changing things, its always a one step forward, two steps back situation. The foundation for a good game is there, but they really need to once and for all solve this identity crisis the game has had since launch, and stabilize the performance. Id gladly give up a season, for them to once and for all take their time to get it right.
As a side note, not that it affects gameplay, but they really need to dial back on the greed. Reliquaries are a terrible deal, compared to the battlepass, and the shop needs to go. Monetizing seasons through a battlepass is fine, but shop skins are pure greed, and should be obtainable ingame, rather than in a shop. If they Insist on this monetization the game should be free to play, and anyone who bought it, should be granted platinum equal to their spendings. Its not fair to monetize a full priced game like this.
All true, what you write.
I also think that the game has potential. I have had some good times killing monsters in it.
And I think that while the framework is good, it needs a true identity.
And I agree that they need to dial back on the greed.
In my opinion it’s fine selling, but the things should be possible to get in the game.
I think that hurts the most, cause I don’t see it as that there’s anything possible to find.
They want me to think that the loot is what there is, but that’s not what my eyes seek.
I’m also done grinding. I’m sure you’re thrice the grinder I am and yet you give up.
I want to just take it easy and kill some monsters. That it would be fun to do so.
But it always feel like I’m swinging at nothing and eventually it’s not fun anymore.
I never wanted to boss, I think that’s the worst part of the game. I want to drift around, fighting monsters in the world, and I want that to be at least somewhat good. That’s all I wanted from the game. See some players sometimes and fight monsters, going around the world. Roaming.
But it all has to be about gathering enough resources to grind those bosses no one wants to do.
No one wants to so they gather up enough resources to do them over and over, and enough power to oneshot them. If you don’t have that you don’t do them.
It’s just too much for me, that endless grind and long hours doing bosses that I don’t want to do.
I think I will never get back in just because it’s so out of touch with what I want to play and what I find fun with the game.
i still enjoy the Barbarian at least, have through-out. just about every aspect. disregarding weakness to the most fun builds like hota and whirlwind. also disregarding the blackwash. the people involved with the char have my blessing to move on to D5-team.
I will Von Strauss D4 with my Summoning fire Sorc the collect all the cash with my Hydraling Pet. Here’s to 2026.
mindless grind for NOTHING …no runes, no mythcs, no more than 1 star items — all garbage ---- garbage loot in a garbage game
had fun the first day… then i spent a month getting nothing… no items where better than once i had… and wasted 5 billion to not get a single tripple crit masterwork… and so i wll not buy expansions
untill blizztrds do something about the drops rates - whatever it will be - see ya next time! Hi PoE im back! )))
It has so much potential, that’s the hardest pill to swallow. I feel, at times, that this is all just one big marketing experiment. Every ‘season’ means more data for them to process. More things to know about how we play and then they move the goalposts accordingly. Are we progressing too quickly? They move the goalposts. Does loot drop too much? They move the goalposts?
I feel that this method of creating and shaping games means that what makes a game ‘fun’ becomes a commodity to be used where needed and overall Blizzard’s main aim is know more and more about this process so they can control more and more how it.
I feel we are nothing more than ‘grinders’ because everything seems to be behind that idea. If you enjoy the process then great. But I am wanting the end point, I want to be powerful, I want to development my character’s potential but I feel the process itself is too skewed in that you get a lot at the start then things slow to a crawl, why does this have to be? People complain about no end-game but if things were allowed to just continue at the same pace then wouldn’t that be better? At the start I was handed points for skills for practically nothing but now (at max level) I have to 1-2 dungeons just for one paragon point, which is measly in comparison and on top of that all the gear I will have farmed (Chaos gear) will just disappear at the end of the season. Which brings me to the other issue with the game and that is the idea of Seasons themselves, the aim of this game is to development your characters potential but because of Seasons you only have 90 days to do it then it’s reset. Now, why would anyone in their right mind want to do that more than a few times?
Back to your question, is it enjoyable? Yes, but only in small parts and in the greater context it can feel like a huge waste of time.
Personally, I’d like them to remove seasons, remove the shop and instead put those items into the game as farmable sets with stats - that’s for a start… I could go on but meh, money is the driver of this game not fun.
hypocrit imbecil hobo
you’re a simple troll though.
i’m no hypocrite. i think various things, like every person. generally i’m favoring d4 but i don’t agree with everything, far from.
and hey, i got enough money. that’s not my problem. rather it seems your problem since you got stuck on that for many topics. you should get off my case before you get a perma ban or something.
no u should have kept your hypocritical bullshit out of my posts that started in honestly with fair low level show of discontempt and bs like yours made it escalate into the toxic pit of vulgarity it is now and im only ashamed and soiled i took your bait and am part in any sort of back and forth with the likes of you but on my honor it stops NOW!
Great. Good luck then and good riddance.
You have a lot of issues, that much is clear, and the first step to a solution is acknowledgment.
A brief question deserves a brief answer, so the answer is Yes
I enjoyed it a lot over several seasons, but season 10 was my favorite. There was so much dedication from the people on Discord, with everyone being very active, and everyone loved the chaos armor. We had the freedom to create builds that were impossible to use before.
Diablo 4 is one of my favorite games, but I’m a bit concerned about its future. After trying the PTR, I became quite worried about the direction the game might be heading.
Glad you enjoyed s10. Me too but I kinda choke on the chaos powers right now. Can’t reform or get anywhere. Asked for better micro though, and I got it; super.
Concerning that you worry about the future. I’m hopeful and expect things to improve. In particular I am looking forward to the fresh pick of my very own greater affix. This means I too can get an owning amulet; the one I always wanted (with some luck). Also that there will be no more bricking of things. Rather they can become worn from changing too many times which seems a nice way of aging items and have them not be endlessly flexible.
But I haven’t delved into the details, or hardly even the broad strokes, I just know a few bits like that.
We’ll see then. I also enjoyed s10 and I hope to enjoy myself in s11 too.
I do enjoy this game. The real problem is it’s only fun for about three to four weeks. Once you reach Paragon level 290 the game just fells like a grind. It’s getting worse each season because the game has a character builds balance problem. There’s no real fun at the end because there’s no challenge.
I did enjoy the game up to season 6. The season 6 release was the kick in the nuts and I just could no longer support and continue playing. Wish I had never paid the money for this overpriced game.
