I dont think you played d2 - d3 because in d2 there wasnt an endgame, or you will say calling mephisto - baal runs endgame logout, reconnect so exacly same thing if thats endgame to you well.
in d2 endgame was hunting items for the perfect build. And if you did not find what you wanted, you always could trade items you dont need, or be lucky and get a super high rune. I even consideres whole Hell as endgame, because how hard it always was. Until you get some items and feel kinda good, and kept going because of items. nontheless way more fun than d4 endgame, because NM Dungeons suck, Helltide sucks, PvP is a mess and sucks^1300. Sidestorys kinda cool, but its done so bad, i dont know. Why not Zoom into the character you are talking to, build immersion, give them a face to remember, let me see their eyes. So its just Random little character, which name i forget in 20 sec because i dont really see her/she/it good enough.

d4 is a pile of burning trash compared to d2 when it was released.
of course d2 in nowadays world isnt that great anymore but in d4 there is hardly any engagement.
why do skills of a 20+ year old game feel better designed and partly look better than in a new game?
the skills are bland and not exiting
filler spender systems suck
itemization suck
legendary system sucks
open world is useless and annoying
movement skills a a bad copy from lost ark. I mean if you copy something at least do it right

I am sorry but the magic just isn’t there. Skills are bland, skill-tree lacklustre, story is weak.
Some weak woman who kept crying all game dies on her knees whining while some girl tells men are incompetent and runs away. That is not a villain worth our time.
Genderless characters. No multiplayer… I have been playing alone until lvl 69 and I can’t anymore… In diablo2 I made dozens of friends and always played with someone. Boring repetitive grind… Maybe it is so boring because you have to do it alone and you no longer go through scripted parts of the story. Boring items… Where is the barbarian helm that helps me summon skeletons or turns me into a werewolf? Where is the rogue weapon that gives you whirlwind? Not that it matters since skills are pretty much the same. Also, I at least always play a medieval-styled game to be a knight in pretty plate armour and with a big sword. Where is the knight character? Because they want to charge for cosmetics items look like s***… Diablo2 had much better looking armor and weapons…

i was the other way around , i play 1 beta and i hated the game , it didnt feel like the diablo i wanted , from the zoom lvl , the terrible QOL , the simple skill tree,
but then i watch streamers play the game , and the killing, the story, all the activities at the end game , then i decide to buy and play.
at first i play barb , it didnt last long cuz the control was horrible for me.
then i make sorc and i set my keybind the same as League of legend 1 to 1 . 3 skills , 1 ult , flash and so on. and im in love , i couldnt stop playing.
im now lvl 85 sorc Blizzard main (not many do this build but im painting the screen with ice , i can solo NMD 10 - 15 lvls above me solo with no issue.
maybe u pick the wrong class for u. for me , Caster is the way.

You played it for 10min and realized you do not like it. That sounds either like you did not give it a fair chance because you had other expectations OR you are a dingus because at that point you could have refunded it.

Today’s common habit: Thinking that because one buys a product, one owns the company that produces and sells it. The firm must fulfill all his wishes immediately, everything must be as he wishes.
No one promised anyone that the game would be perfect and error-free. Besides, if you’re a little familiar with games, you’ll know that such a release is seen almost one in a million. It hasn’t been a month since the game came out.
It is obvious that it is the best Diablo game ever made. Instead of maniacally and obsessively trying to juice it up in a few weeks, you can try to take it a little easier.
Yes, are there problems? There are. Keep calm, play the game you love. Make a note of the issues and keep reporting them here without freaking out. No need to pull your hair out.
It’s just a game.
If you have a real problem then you are right to make a fuss and complain. For example: There are some people out there who cannot play the game because the game cannot detect their video card. This is a real problem. It even requires a refund.

Obvious to you maybe. Nothing wrong with that, we need people with special needs to have access to games as well and I am truly glad you are enjoying it. I know it’s hard to please people with the intellect of a ripe grapefruit so I tip my hat to Blizz for actually making this possible. Also the fact that the mentally impaired community likes it makes it even more of a success in my eyes. Anyway, have a nice day and remember to wear your helmet around corners champ.
