It is because servers are down. Diablo servers getting DDoS that’s why you can’t connect to server and that is why instead of prompting “can’t connect to server” it says “can’t find a valid license”. Be patient D4 team working on it.

Hey all,

there is indeed currently a DDOS attack running against our servers. Our engineers are working on fixing that but I`m afraid we have no ETA when it will be back to normal.

Hi Blizzard,

It’s been quite a few hours now that people can’t enjoy the game which they’ve payed for in full. The game is not cheap, actually it’s one of the highest prices for a game on the market right now.
But in my opinion it’s worth it, because it’s a triple A game in (hopefully) every aspect it can be, including paramount service levels. At the very moment it’s the opposite in that regard and we’re pretty much all suffering the worst service that we can experience right now. It’s not just a minor bug or a much worse I can’t complete this side-quest kind or error. No, it’s the absolute worst, people that payed for a product/service and can’t use it entirely!

Now this is a legitimate question, not some kind of a demand or something like that: is it possible to get some kind of (ingame) compensation? Obviously after everything has been fixed again!

i logged out from forum, and log back … the forum asked to me to insert username and password

and now i can log in … and after 10 min of queue i logged in the game aswell

Some compensation for waiting and not informing us in hours. Wow it works and it didn’t work. Or a bad service will be our compensation

Please implement the following:
(1) Understand the service your running.
(2) Upstream defences with secondary ISP’s
(3) Allow scaling on your servers
(4) Define a response plan
(5) Test and Monitor Services continuously.

Lmfao thanks for your professional advice for the multi-billion dollar company. This is not some kid using booters to ddos your family’s router. Its a dedicated botnet attack on the main authentication servers. It’s a big deal since the server IP address has been leaked, meaning this attack could waste our whole Sunday.
