Yep that’s the point where leveling that damage glyph is going to be essential and minor tweaks to your build are needed, like spending 300 million gold just to get 1% better rolls on enchants and things like that. But that is the nature of the endgame. Personally I think it’s a small but good start. I like the fact they are trying this mid-season to see how it plays out and it gives me something to grind slowly and see how far I can push in (level 7 currently) think I had a couple of bad rolls, but certainly not quitting at level 7! I want to try to get to 20+

The incompetent blizzard team released a patch. Unplayable and set for the top 0.001% boosted streamers. Diablo 4, the worst investment of money and time.
I don’t think it’s fair to complain about the overall difficulty, they clearly stated that would be VERY hard, it just needs some tweaks around (sigil cost, greatly reduce damage on certain mobs, some extra final rewards etc…). Let’s see what they’ll say today
On release patch day I tried it for one time. My build is maxroll Barbarian HotA.
I can run ND to 95 without dying, but in ND100 sometimes I died. My stats
about 20k life all resi 70 armor about 8,3k enough damage. I got in, I fighted like hell, had to tele to town for more potions and attacked further, but after 5-6 Minutes I got oneshot by a balliste from outside of the screen. Dead and Loose, Mats gone and thought, this is not fun thats fuu.
Yesteraday than I changed my defense to about 10,3k armor, more damage reductions from all kind, more dodge chance and more life. I removed my tibaults and the helmet, but held on amu for overpowering, furor ring, grandfather. Even overcapped my resis.
New try and I got through level Tier1 of Zir´s abort. Got my glyphe and did some ND90 to level it, without dying or timer that hunts me.
My impression and conclusion, it is not fun, it is not worth to get better items, it might be something new but with the knowing all of this levelling for the glyphe is gone after the season´s end. So why should i put hundreds of hours to level the glyphe, when I can get better gear by simply killing duriel. While getting the mats, I also farm varshan or grigor mats and those bosses also give me better itemlevel than Zirs abort.
To get higher in Tier of Zir, It needs much more items with more defense stats, so going deeper in Zir is not smart, as long i got no better 925 items.
No1 can compare this with GR in D3, because noone forces you to play hardcore.
If someone like Rob, Rax or others will not make it higher than 20, why should it scale up to 100. In D3 at first noone ever did GR150 maybe GR43, but with the time and patches we got damage and after long years GR150 could be done. But in D4 until end of S2 noone will ever make it to Zirs Tier 100 level. So what is it good for?
I took my time to collect my thoughts around the subject.
I’m a classic ok-ish player, I run my T100 (from T95 to T100) and I get it done, sometimes I get a kill or 2, but mostly due to situations rather than some kind of major flow in my build.
I did Lilith too.
I was expecting to suffer, but to have some kind of fun. However I don’t find AoZ any fun whatsoever.
First: the spike in difficulty is too steep and too random, as mentioned by multiple players, you just get killed in the most random way, not due to lack of equip or whatever, but because os some kind of random corpse explosion, ballistas shotting you outside the map, maybe some frikking spider; sometimes it’s also lag and you die like is a oneshot, while it’s not.
Every try costs about 45 min of farm, to play maybe 5/6 minutes with a high level of random. this mechanic is simply broken.
I believe they should
- change the assisting equip tool in the game, make it better and more reasonable to properly evaluate how effective is your build for dmg output and your resistances. It’s very hard after a certain point to understand if you’re improving stats or trading off elements
- reduce the powder needed at least for T1, or make it free and then create some progression with the powder cost to craft further sigils
- balance some mobs with oneshot logics that can be triggered outside the LoS

Also have max resist, high armor, dmg reduction and high life, running as rouge
