As someone who already does this, I have been able to afford enough for pack and solo adventures with just gold, yes I do play regularly but I dont play competitively, money I get is solely from quests as I dont like arena, if I did arena and was good at it I wouldnt even need to play every day.
Point is you can play without paying anything and still have a good time if it’s a game you actually enjoy.
As for benefits with solo adventures and all that I cant give a say as I dont care, I enjoy solo adventures with or without reward so I cant really talk about it

It does feel a little bit all over the place, but I’ll explain what i mean. So they essentially just nerfed 13(?) cards and as a free player would be silly to not dust them even if they were good cards because I would say you fear duplicates more. But in such close succession with release of 35 more cards, this influx of dust you won’t want to spend until you can see what there is coming. But so this forced me to destroy most of my viable decks. So from a psychological standpoint right now I feel like I have much less than I had before even though now I have almost identical card pool + enough dust to craft a choice legendary.
For me I would say if you cannot break r5 now without crafting heavily just let a few seasons pass, probably craft after 1 more set comes out (3 sets drop off). Could still reach r5 if I wasn’t staying in hostels where dc skips turns frequently. But once again could probably only do that in wild. It’ll be a whole 2 months before I’ve bought all the wings of adventure and caught up on dragon set because they are very very close release dates.
Adventures are horrible and makes the game totally pay to play, especially right after using your gold on the latest expansion.
Adventures are total !#¤!. Not only you have to pay for it, but also waste your time to unlock the cards. Can’t even skip the time consuming “funny” jokes and stories while playing. Honestly who has played recently the first adventure to come out? Once you get the cards, you’re done with it. No replayability at all. Also time to develop these “great” guests, could be better spent on finding ways to balance the game out. I mean they do this crap, while nerfing the latest expansion for the 2nd time…
If I would still want to spend money on this I would much rather pay $25 and get the cards straight up, without wasting my time.
I was a big spender back in day, hundreds after hundreds. These adventures were the reason I originally went totally no cash on this game way back. Had a long break, but during last cycle of expansions, I got huge amount of dust and have been able to play without putting anything in since. Saving gold and using dust only on key cards of the expansions. I was just about starting to enjoy this game again, and then they just go back to their old ways.
I guess my story ends here. Definately not paying cash and gold is gone. Best way to make a difference. Stand your ground and keep your cash.
Do it like me, don’t spend a single penny on this crappy game anymore until you realize you can’t keep up with the metas, then you will just stop playing the game completely.

Personally, this is the first occasion where hardcore casual f2p (can’t think of a better way to describe making sure the dailies never expire) players are gona be much worse off.
Where I’m so far ahead of the curve I can cope, but it is now a real decision as to whether I buy the adventure with £££ or face the reality of crafting rares in the next expansion.
I’m still gona play/enjoy the game regardless, but putting cards back behind an additional adventure is a decision based solely on greed, whereas the move away from the adventures in the first place could at least be debated as being for the good of the game, this really cannot.

If you dont enjoy tge fame (i read it like that) and stoped playing the game why do you freely choose to come here and talk negativly about the Company or their product (which is honestly fine by me) instead of focusing your valuable time and maybe money to something (maybe another game or a different hobby) and be happier.
I ask because when i complain about something im usually not happy. So if i stopped doing something i dont choose to come to those Plattforms again to discuss even tough i dont enjoy it.
Youre absolutly free to do so but because i dont understand the thought process behind it i would like to know out of sheer curioussity
