5Ghz wifi failing on Hots

I used to have a router with 2,4ghz wifi conection and all worked fine, last week got my router changed and this one has dual conection 2,4 and 5ghz. When i play with the 2,4ghz all continues to work fine, i have 65mb download speed and 50 upload speed and game works well. When i conect to 5ghz i have 98mb download speed and 100mb upload speed but when i log hots i cant see my profile , other ppl´s profile , game take forever to become “available” and it disconects me ingame while playing…

I have better speed on 5ghz but game becomes unplayable, whats wrong?

Hey Proud,

While the 5GHz connection might be faster, the range of the connection is far shorter. This can often mean that the connection itself might not be as good as the slower 2.4 GHz.

Make sure that your receiver/computer is close to the router, and that nothing interferes with the signal (walls, other electronical/wireless devices). Ultimately, we would always suggest using a wired connection where possible.
