Twin Blade Varian can basically shred everything in the mid to lower classes if he knows what he is doing (right clicking), playing against him in quickplay without having a blind is always a loss. He can solo kill every boss without a scratch or mana cost. Oh yeah he gets his ult at level 4, genius idea.
What a surprise this game is dieing, if this game wouldn’t be balanced and dev’d by Blizzard it would have been a huge success. I wish you all the worst Blizzard.
Does this happen in QM? Sure, Dual blade Varian can be strong there. In draft simply pick some blind (eg. Lili, Johanna, Artanis) and you kill 2 of his builds.
He has sooooooo many counters… in QM you always get unbalanced matchups so that’s another problem. Yday I got 3 mages vs illidan aba … but it’s QM, and they dont seem to care about the balance there so… just learn how to counter varian in draft tho
Those requests have been made months even a year ago, not only by “low MMR person’s”. Look where the game is now, barely alive, pro scene is dead, and the casual scene is also dieing.
“That will work out well” Yeah lets have Blizzard keep doing what they think is good and the game will be closed by the end of the year.
I have no idea how anybody can have a problem with varian? He is super easy to beat. What league are you playing at? I can imagine him being faceroll in lower leagues. Certain heroes shine better at certain leagues
As Varian is not viable anywhere (for every build or playstile there is at least one hero that is better at it), i would not mind any kind of nerfs to him. It makes people happy and will not affect the outcome of any drafted match anyway.
However, with a Varian against you there is a lot to learn for new players as he is a lot weaker than any tank or bruiser but teaches you some basics regarding
heh you talking about players pick counters heroes…pick and these “counter heroes” how much you want but when i play with him…just try to kill me over 2 times. Good luck!
If you play vs me,YOU CANT KILL ME SO EASY!
Twin blade varian is extremely easy to counter. I suggest lower ranked players to watch streams / youtube for skilled games where you learn how to play against it
Anyone complaining about Varian(or any champion) from there Xp in QM games doesnt know how balance should work in a game,or how it’s designed around a meta and ranked.
Not cuz a guy wiped the floor with you in QM games where you had no counter champs or you simply ignored him…but QM is its own thing.
In ranked Varian TB build is easy countered by brightwing or Arthas, anything that stops him from gaining momentum in team fights.
You know what the problem with that mindset is? Why even have quickplay then? Why not just have competitive and that’s it, no more Quick-Match, no more Brawl, just pure Ranked.
If you only look and balance heroes for one mode (yes even if that mode is ranked), what’s the point of balancing then?
Not only that, but what’s the point of having those heroes anyway, if they are only viable or straight up broken in Quickmatch. And on the other hand, the devs completely forget about heroes like Probius, which get’s no rework, no love, no chance ever getting competitive, while some heroes like Kael’Thas and Greymane are in the meta since the very first day they were introduced.
This mindset is absolutely ridiculous. Just remove every hero that is not viable in comp then. Problem solved, I guess
No, the problem is your mindset. It’s obvious that competitive game will focus mainly on competitive modes. QM is there to be quick and random. The randomness it’s what I actually like on QM, it prepares you pretty well to adapt to different weird scenarios. It forces you to learn your talents properly and to try out different ones in different situations. QM taught me a lot on how to build my talents and how to position when there is no healer. Or when there is no front line. Or when you play squishes against stealth. And so on. QM taught me things ranked couldn’t and those things were often important for me when draft goes terribly wrong. So the problem with your mindset is that you see QM as something what it’s not meant to be and what it never will meant to be.
I fully agree. Everyone, and i mean everyone, can dish out tremendous amounts of dmg and achieve a high KDA with a mage if backed up by a good support player, a awesome main tank and a solid second frontline. QM on the other hand is the playground where you can learn how to cope with situations where you do not have this luxury (translating into better team fight capabilities in ranked).
As I said: Varian in QM is a good example for such a training buddy. He is not strong enough to decide a map on his own in a typical QM draft (in opposition to e.g. Diablo/Anub without a support on both sides), but he forces you to pick the fights you can win, to focus on enemies together (esp. twin blade) and to keep a healthy distance instead of trading badly or when go in if your dmg/support is needed (= meaningful dmg/heal).
heh : D if you be matched vs me ,forget to kill me so easy ,even if you pick Arthas or Johana.
Try to kill me over 2 times.
Im master game skilled player!.
In words is easy to be sayed.
Of course you can kill him over 3 times, but if you be matched vs anyone noob young peoples.
But Varian if be hands on master game skilled player ,is still so OP.
Forget about counter heroes!
As a lvl 21 Varian i can tell you that QM Varian sux.My biggest win streaks comes from Zaggara or Rexar.Wich the hotslogs QM table displays correct. Not only that id even dare to say Anduin is higher up the lane i played him today and his healing output is just insane and blocking everything with his R.
Also i think you missed my point regarding Varian in Storms League,Varian if you are stuck with a player that will auto lock it will be easly counter picked by arthas, brightwing or jaina that destory his mementum. He is in the mid table on hots logs for Storm league and that is where he belongs.
