High Ping in Hots

Today I had a really strange high ping issues which I never had before. I tried to power cycle my modem, reset my computer, dns flush , ipconfig release / renew and even reinstalled the game and nothing seems to fix the high ping. When i check in the game before I get into a match says Central is 251ms, Western 245 ms, but brazil server is 106 ms? What’s going on here? and in game when i go through central i get 270+

I did a MTR i think it’s called, and not sure if I did it right, just did it as I was in a brawl. |------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|

If i can get any help, it would very much be appreciated… like I said before this is the first time this has happened to me… Also, i am hard wired to the modem. Also, I would like to add that I was able to play StarCraft II without any issues at all, with 44 ms.

Good morning shenron,

The test shows data loss right when you enter your ISPs network, as you can see above. That explains your issue. Please get in touch with them and show them your data.

Kind regards

What’s your opinion?

Thank you for the FeedBack Kiemmaki, I called my ISP and they told me to basically buy a brand new modem that has access to port forwarding… I was told that they did everything on their end to help fix the issue, and the problem wasn’t resolve. What I don’t understand, why this problem came to be, and why did it work for all this time and apparently the only solution now is to buy a new modem… Is this a normal occurrence? StarCraft II is working great, as well as my other online games, it seems to be just heroes of the storm

Hello again shenron,

I wouldn’t be able to answer these questions regarding the router/modem. That would be up to the manufacturer or ISP to answer this. I am sorry again, but I can’t answer it.

Kind regards
