I’m under enemy tower on Nova and it starts shooting me, I use E and tower shoots me still not the decoy. Useless, pls fix.
thats… not how that ability is supposed to work… the only way the tower would shoot someone else if there would be a minion.
First time I see someone complaining about this ability
it prioritizes summons over heroes, this is a summon, it should shoot it not me
It’s not really a summon. The decoy (same as Samuro’s copies) count as “heroes”, that’s why quest progression counts on them.
Well I think that should change. How else am I suppose to chase someone and overextend without dying.
And how come enemy minions attack decoy not my minions or me then?
maybe because the minions are out of range and your decoy is closer than you?
you just have an answer for everything, don’t you
You drop the holo decoy near the tower BEFORE the tower starts hitting you, so your decoy absorbs 2 3 shots
Also Playing Nova is not chasing after targets into their territory,
Its deleting low health targets quickly, OR bursting down full health targets to low health in team fights forcing them to retreat to tap a well.
NO CHASING
Isn’t the problem that the decoy spawns invisible? Cause it does look like that and the surroundings react like that as well, usually.
I just managed to use it once to kill a 1 pixel hp enemy I was chasing, but for tanking anything it sure feels useless.
You use your Ghost Protocol ability
Nova becomes Unrevealable for half a second and creates a Holo Decoy
This is very useful when chasing but be warned that you will be left without a way to escape if the tables are turned on you
ONLY Minons, Mercenaries and Summons coming into the range of an enemy building forces it to switch targets if the original Heroic target is still in range and visible to it
And the summon by definition has to be something that doesn’t mimic a hero to qualify as a true summon instead of a false heroic target
False Heroic Targets will always provide quest progression in comparison to normal summons
Aside from the quests that require a hero to die
This is how you tell it apart from a normal summon
I agree with Zmaj, the decoys should be seen by everyone as summons(including players).
Then they wouldn’t be decoys would they?
Someone would easily be able to recognize a decoy if they didn’t provide quest progression
And they would be able to figure out which one wasn’t a decoy by simply looking at the one which wasn’t being targeted by an enemy building
Minions and Mercenaries would also focus on the summon way more
Making the Decoy a False Heroic Target is a way to ensure that the automated parts of the game still treat the decoy as if it were the hero so that it wouldn’t easily be given away
There are already so many ways to tell decoys apart from the real one anyway
We do not need more
true, the whole concept of decoy will b lost if they are treated as summons
