Lag and disconnections

Hello,
since couple of months I am having this issue. Random disconnections from HOTS and Blizzard Launcher.

It is happening only when I play HOTS and Diablo.

While it usually lasts couple of seconds, last couple of days it is literally unplayable. Using WinMTR i got this:

It is either that much lost packages or “destination host unreachable”.

I know it is “not in your part”, but my ISP said the same thing and the result is - I cannot play. Please give me some suggestions what should I do.

Could you please run a fresh WinMTR while playing the game?

The one you posted has a) packet loss and b) in hop 2 a spike in the worst response time. I’d like to see another example of a winMTR.

well, the problem is that it happening not all the time.

Now it seems ok, while just 30 mins ago was unplayable. I will post later when I get back home.

You are not the only one. I also get disconects and lags. Recently were only disconects for like 20 sec but whole bnet was down. But from yesterday there is such lag at moment that its unplayable. Even called my isp support and they didnt find problem. Sometimes i can play 1-2 games without issues but last couple of games was terrible going above 700ms to 50 ms in 2 sec and this cycle repeated whole game

I didnt had issues playing last game. What bothers me are the “no response from server” results. And most importantly - what causes them and who should I seek to fix them. I know its servers that are beyond your jurisdiction and I am mostly seeking an advice from you. It is happening every day and it also disconnects me from bnet launcher.

To that im also having it. Not to mention it hapens in WoW too that made me stop my subscription… Its annoying when it happens in some raid, or dungeon and u go back in and find yout u were kicked …

Hello jkid,

I wouldn’t be too much bothered about the “no response from server” because that normally just means that this server can’t be pinged with is just a safety measure. What is more bothering is the data loss in hop 2 as shown below. This is happening in your ISPs network. Please contact them and show them your data.

You too have a spike in the response time which is most likely the cause to your issue. Could you please run a fresh WinMTR?

runing it atm, but lag only occurs in blizzard games. I have no lag at all in Archeage, World of warships. Also i see the % loss comes from the last rows? I will wait till the lag happens ingame and start it there

That might be because those other games are not on our servers and it might involve a different routing.

i have that bnet disconnects andwow dc for long long time i doubt my isp constantly have bad internet :slight_smile:

Well, it might have a bad connection for all that time, of course.
The data here shows again a huge spike in response times when you compare line 2 and 3 in the “worst” section. A jump from 22 to 184 is huge. It might be worth a try and check with your ISP and show them this data.

At that time i didnt had lag at all i noticed i start to lag when i postd the last mtr . It happens at random intervals it may happen one time in 2 hrs or may stayt laggy for 5-10 min

My point was i dont lag when my isp have spikes i lag when
7th hop showed worst 1321m/s

Kiemmaki, thank you for the response. That hop 2 is isolated case. Dunno what have caused it, but its not happening usually. The constant problem, when it happens is hops from 4 to 9

Well maybe my case is the same i just ran ping to my isp its usualy 3ms response and once in 50-60 times it goes to 150-200. The problems asjkid stated come from 4 to 9. Can it be because of the power maintenance?
