Unfortunately, this test doesn’t show much.

This might be even more often than you realise and it might happen frequently and would explain your issue because these high response time can cause lag and disconnects. Like I said already, it might be worth a try and contact the ISP.

well i usualy make pings to my isp but i noticed those spikes today. Altho the disconnects and lag are verry old issue( like more than 6 months, i doubt my isp connection can be bad 6 months :slight_smile: ). I even have a live chat session but alas the problem could not be found. I am using google dns do you think hat can be the problem?

oh, I have contacted my ISP numerous times already. All they say is that since those hops are outside their network, they cannot do anything about it, which I doubt…

the pattern is this: I get disconnected from hots(and diablo 3), I also get d/c from bnet launcher and everytime it happens, when i use WinMTR it says “no response from server” from hop 4 to last one, 9 in my case.

and yes, this problem, with d/c is couple of months already

We(me and phalanger) have different ISP.

If you get disconnected from the App as well, it wouldn’t be related to the hops 4-9 because those are on the connection to the game, not the app. Have you tried the general steps (both of you) here?

And @Phalanger do you get disconnected from the app as well?

I am trusting you on this one, but in the same time it is what is happening.

That was the 1st thing I did. I have changed my router, used different PC/laptops, the result is the same…

I dont have those issues while playing Overwatch, although I am not monitoring the bnet app at that time

Yes i get disconected when an ingame disconect occurs but not when the lag is happening. Also, when the bnet launcher cant connect for like 4-5 minutes i can manualy enter log in data in the game ( WoW or Hots) and i get in instantly while the bnet fail to log in. AS for the stepps above i did that earlier but lag continues. I power cycled the router for 5 minutes. I even called my ISP , when the tech came to see the problem he said the connection is ok and those spikes are just one time in like 10 minutes and should not affect ingame latency or affect it verry little, but ingame latency goes to like 700 when the above Winmtr have the big 1000+ m/s and actualy then the lag occurs. When my isp have the spikes my ingame latency goes from 35 to 70 wich is ok hardly noticable. Also from time to time i get disconnected only from voice chat in hots

Also i get verry irrateated by my WoW disconnects that i reinstalled windows but alas no difference. Also does that i use google as dns provider can cause the lag?

I just spoke with a friend of mine who is having the exact same issues with d/cs (drops form laucher as well), while is on completely different ISP

This reminds me-in WoW a guildie was having the same thing- drop from the game (i can’t remember the error code ) and game launcher too. From time to time he said he is getting booted from the ingame friend interface stating he was offline in bnet. i decided to update on the situation. Lag seems to be gone for now my isp keep geting the spikes and as i stated before its not noticable in game. But i still geting disconnected both from hots and from bnet app. Meanwhile im downloading with 10.5 MB/s. I doubt i dont have internet so i get disconnected from the services , but alas i am. While downloading ingame latency is 298 and again almost not noticable

Well, that is the difficult part. You must think of the internet being like a city with different routes/streets. While one might be totally fine (where you download) others might be obstructed with potholes, blocked traffic etc. So it is not unusual that you can use one service fine but another not.

I have escalated your issue and we are looking into it but since you two are so far the only cases here, it doesn’t seem to be a general issue. If I might ask, what countries are you two from?

im from Bulgaria my internet connection is 100mb/s. Also my isp dont have spikes anymore but disconnects continue as usual like the past 6 months. When i ping the response time to my isp is 3ms. As i said it s happening in WoW too. Havent tried in Diablo 3 yet but probably its going to happen. Also i oepened all ports needed for the game

Thanks a million for your information. We will be monitoring the situation, but like I said already, so far it seems to be more a regional issue than a general one. Would you maybe able to try something? Would you be able to switch to maybe a mobile connection and play the game? Just to test if those disconnects continue?

Still getting disconnected. Its annoying that no fix is made in more than 7 months. All my german friends get disconnectiong too. Dont believe its from isp not for 7 months. you should check your network integrity or change providers…

Same here, also from Bulgaria. Disconnects are more than a year, checked with isp - they said there’s no problem from their end that they would see and the packet loss they tracked is after the signal exits their network and reaches IP, that is located in Holland. I cant play one day without disconnects, and basically no one is being helpful here, and I’m asking for help constantly.
