HI ,I’m playing since closed beta and still waiting for a spectate mode.
Am I the only one?
Are years that some members of the community are asking for it; would be really funny and entertaining

Some people want exp globes gone, some want old brawls back , some want new skins for unpopular heroes and now I see this. I won’t lie you are the first person I see suggest this and I guess it does make sense having it. But then again, how is having spectator mode going to make anything more fun? If you want to watch a streamer just go to twitch.

ill be honest its just a quality of life thing some times i wish to be able to see my friend while they are playing

Often happens that I join Hots and friends ask me to wait for them. Meanwhile I wait would be really funny to see my friends playing a QM and joke them about their moves. It’s tons of fun. Like this is in many mobas and doesnt influence the game at all. Hearthstone for example is in real time spec mode.

From technical point of view bigger amount of people spectating your game live (or with short delay) would cause lags on your end (amount of lags depends on quality of your connection and amount of spectators)
People could possibly DDOS other players while watching them play.
as I said, i played Heroes Of newheart and dota with spectator mode. there was no problem at all.
I’m not a specialist but something tells me this kinda a simple function isn’t easy for realization as it may seem. Cause the engine has lots of issues and specifics (devs have been already said about it) 
And of course HOTS doesn’t have a big team anymore…
