I’ve never really had a reason to post anything on here. Most of the problems I experience in the game are already talked about or I haven’t had a real need to post anything. But I’ve had the game since release and have played nearly every day since then. I really enjoy the game and I’ve never really played a game that gave me this much fun and experiences quite like overwatch. However today I’ve decided I’m taking a break until the necessary changes are implemented. I’m not here to bash the devs or complain how everyone that plays the game is a toxic asshole. But the underlying problems in the game have grown too big and the game has been out too long for them to simply be brushed aside by Blizzard any longer. Competitive is simply not fun to play unless you are stacking with friends which we all know is punished by the ranking system. Everyone from bronze to the pros acknowledges that changes have to be implemented into competitive so I’m also not here to start a campaign to get Blizzard to put things such as role queues or solo queues into the game. All I’m here to say as an avid fan of Blizzard and Overwatch and as someone who would love nothing more than Overwatch to be a successful e-sport and casual game is that I’m disappointed. I’m disappointed in the fact that in over 2 years no concrete attempt has been made to try and improve the experience of competitive play at every rank. The game certainly isn’t dead and n’or do I see it dying anytime soon, however the overall experience of the game has been going downhill. Obviously this forum doesn’t apply to everyone as everybody finds their own enjoyment out of the game.
I love Blizzard and everything they do. I love the Overwatch league and all the Overwatch merchandise. I love the Overwatch twitter and the seemingly effortless fan interaction there is. However as an Overwatch player who plays to have fun I’m disappointed. Changes need to be made to ranked and fast. Any support on this post is greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time. Any feedback also appreciated.
