Be more transparent with “Thank you for reporting” message

The system you created is extremely flawed. The message “Thank you for reporting” and the confirmation that my reports led to actions against other players accounts is useless, vague and not helpful.

Considering that cheaters overrun this game, how can I believe that my reports for cheating were actually helpful and that actions were taken because of that? You only ban for mild and other chat violations.

How can i trust you?

There should be two types of thank you messages:

Green when a player was silenced. :white_check_mark:
Blue when a player was banned for cheating. :ballot_box_with_check:

Names should also be included, preferably with a link to the profile of such a player.

General Updates

Player Report Tool

  • Players can now receive an instant notification if a player is already actioned.
  • Prior to this feature, reporting a player that had already been banned or suspended would not result in any additional information. The Instant Reporting Feedback feature will immediately inform the player of the fact that banned or suspended players have been actioned when they are reported.

What kind of joke is this? An already actioned player is not typing because they are silenced or banned and not playing. Why would I report someone who is not doing anything? Where is the logic in this?

Deeply concerning.

In OW1 it was the other way around, green window for cheating ban. All other blueish. But they removed it and it will probably not come back. Not that it will make any difference for you because you won’t get the cheating window ban anyway.

No they don’t.

No it shouldn’t. That would just incite behaviour that just isn’t welcome.

They add them on MR afaik, doesnt lead to anything really. Tags are hidden and you can’t see the numbers anywhere to do “witch hunts”

Roku = nr 1 cheater supporter. Ignorant is not a solution. Any one that plays the game now days now that there are aimbot hackers in every game.

Lol what a load of garbage.

There are cheaters. There aren’t that many though.

Maybe stop being hysterical about it.

Clearly you not playing the game. Your just here as forum troller to defend the cheaters, i seen you here many years coming and trying to calm down the cheating talk. How about you stop forum trolling and respect the fact that players are experiencing cheaters atm?

Bro is just here to disagree with every narrative he got build inside his head.

What he needs to do is find a new hobby because despite the fact that he said that he rarely plays this video game anymore he still after so many years contributes negative arguments on every thread people got going on the forum.

F leave already Roku, go back to the attics.

In Rivals you have all info in the notification: Player name and Action taken.

Tbf, I’ve not played this weekend.

So unless it all went down hill during that, then you’re just being overly dramatic about cheaters.

Nice. This should be same in Overwatch2.

So cheats are fine? Because you dont play the game… right i understand your logic… There are infact people who enjoy playing this game the legal way you know… But you can’t when the game is filled with cheaters now.

Are you Mistikas in disguise… Lol.

I play quite a bit. Bit less recently because I’m moving house. But I’ve not seen a cheater in about 2 years.

No where am I saying they aren’t there, but that’s would be lying. We all know cheaters are a blight on all PvP games and should be deal with in the strongest ways possible.

But to make claims like “overwatch is filled with cheaters” is just emotive, hyperbolic nonsense designed to bait engagement.

Share a screen shot of your replay screen with all the codes. If the game is filled with them. Then there should be at least one in every game you share.

I’ll wait for the screen shot.

Also, they are going after cheaters the right way. By attacking the creators head on.

“not seen a cheaters in years”… but your not playing the game… I am sure when your in the woods you so NO TREES … right and i am Elivs Presly, lets all pretend things… both aimsharp and skycheat have been around for some time now, very easy for players to use in EVERY GAME… around 700.000 to be correct. And this has to stop… Also we need to remove people from this forum that supports them… (important)

Why on earth would you need a screenshot ? Just log in to the game and watch the replay in slow motion… Plenty of evidence there… but your the only one i guess who for some strange reason dont see what is strait infront of you… (or more correctly lie and denies / “r” , (ohh yes we know who is behind the cheats ) .

That is indeed what I said. I remember the last cheater I saw because it was the funniest thing I’d ever seen.

Aim botter playing Rein. Absolutely hilarious.

Because you claim there are cheaters in most games.

You can screenshot all the replays of games you’ve played with codes. Then people can see if you’re playing with/against cheaters or not.

(Btw, I wouldn’t name drop cheat providers. It’ll be classed as advertising and either be removed or have you banned. I’d rather not see that happen, because I think whilst overly ragey, there is good intentions from you here)

Funnily. I might have just encountered my first cheater in a long long time.

Got them 2 games in a row. They were awful.

On inspection. It might be cheater, might be the worst connection and peripherals. Either way, reported and moved on.

Good. Report helps…

I know. That’s all you should do.

Either way, they were bad, won both games. I probably should have given him the tip that if you’re cheating, junk probably isn’t the right hero to swap too.

Update. The guy got banned within 24 hours.

Seems like the system works pretty well.
