What I meant with that is that such comments (where you compared almost anyone on the thread with a youtube video) can lead of someone getting upset and starting a sandbox fight. At best, comments on someone’s personality should be avoided to risk no derail.
Exactly, it would also break the aesthetics much less because Blizzard has more control over the spray’s aesthetics. Not in terms of the content but in terms of style like gradients or 3d text.
Not only that, it would reduce the number of toxic sprays because you goof around less when you actually need to pay for it, killing 2 birds with one stone.
However, that should only count for public games. If you play games in private games, you should be able to use any custom spray you like. At best, you should be able to create custom sprays but you need to pay to use them in public matches. When you “publicize” a custom spray, a GM automatically checks whether the spray is appropriate or not.
Do you know what would be interesting? What if you can get the other player’s custom sprays? That way, you could collect a lot of sprays and still use them publicly. If you want your own spray, though, you need to pay.
