But they both have monetisation, howveer ones clearly better at it than the other.

dont buy the battlepass at all. once you buy it, it stops giving the currency reward. Youll miss hundreds of currency. So yes its basicly a scam
No. You still get the legacy currency at certain levels of the premium pass. You also get a cosmetic item on the same level.
You can fix this glitch by not giving Blizzard any money.
I agree with the sentiment. It’s not even about fairness, it’s about Blizzard being dumb here and losing money. I already have regular BP for 10$. I’d be willing to buy the ultimate one, but I’m not going to spend 30$ on it, whenever I already own 10$ subset of the pack. Most games offer you “upgrade” option, which would cost 20$ in this case, but Blizzard apparently thinks it’s fine to charge the same money, but deliver different amount of goods, to two players - one with and one without the BP. Well, it’s not, hence why they lost 20$ right now. And I assume many players will do the same and avoid buying ultimate, if they already own regular BP, so it probably adds up to quite a bit of money lost. One would think, with the greed they show in all their games, they can at least adopt some mature BP system here
