Another one needing a tweak is probably soldiers ult… You do more damage not using it (if you have even basic good aim).
Not sure what it should do… maybe less shots, but all head shots.

deflect doesn’t just make him invulnerable, it also does damage and any other effect he deflects, EG whole hogs push… DUH!..

You ever realised that by making him deflect… you just stop shooting him?
Then your team can move. Or stun him… and if anyone is behind… they can shoot him.
Think broader than your liner example.
Ultimately, if he is deflecting… for a good player, that means hee isn’t doing any damage.
If you throw flash bang at the ground he cant deflect it. You obviously did it wrong.

As for deflecting stuns. I get your point. He often deflects a Brig bash or Mei’s freeze.
And you are right about why he doesn’t get used against good player… So maybe that is a hint as to what you need to do?

dashes out of range before he is frozen, not to mention you have to lead your target with the freeze beam and with his mobility and tiny hitbox its next to impossible
or maybe the smurfs need to be prevented from being in the lower ranks, or just lock the character off before you get to diamond

that is the problem, there is only two solutions, 1. stop smurfs and fix the matchmaker 2. remove/nerf heros that can dominate through skill or give them an easy to use counter

So, you don’t want to improve… what you want is the game dumbed down to your acceptable level?
You are always getting matched against people with similar MMR as you (ie your skill level). Maybe pop off and kill them before they can kill you.
If someone puts in the effort and practice to get good at something, they will get rewarded for their efforts.
If you want more control (and seeing as you only play QP), use the forums to get a pool of people together and create your own matches… that way you can only have people who are similar or worse than you if you want.
True that requires a little effort. But no more than just practising to get good at something. So shouldn’t be too much of a problem.
I am more than willing to send a few people who are silver/gold your way to play games with you.

Well with this YOU are the match maker. If you think someone is “too skilled” you can just boot them and replace them with someone more to your liking.
Yes, this requires some ground work. But would drastically improve your gameplay experience.
You could even set your own rules, like hero bans and so on.
