Hi Overwatch Community,
I’ve been brainstorming a new character idea for Overwatch. Named “Zephyr” this support hero uses unique sigils and runes for both healing and tactical plays, bringing a fresh strategy to the game. I believe Zephyr would be a great fit and add an interesting layer to the gameplay. I’d be thrilled to see this concept considered for future updates.
Hero Profile: Zephyr
Role: Support
Appearance: Zephyr is a young (25 y/o) Italian from a wealthy family, with curly hair and an attire inspired by vineyards and wine culture. His outfit features deep red and gold colors, with vine and grape motifs.
Abilities and Stats
- Primary Fire - Vino Blast: Launches energy projectiles that either heal allies or damage enemies. If a target has a sigil, the shots home in on them, even through walls for allies.
- Secondary Fire - Sigil Creation: Creates and launches up to three sigils that can attach to surfaces, allies, or enemies. They activate different effects and have a limited lifetime.
- Ability 1 - Sigil Activation (Healing Burst / Damage Pulse): Activates a sigil for immediate healing to allies or damage to enemies around the sigil.
- Ability 2 - Sigil Leap: Zephyr can leap to any of his sigils, allowing quick repositioning or escape.
- Ultimate Ability - Grand Vin: Creates an area that enhances the effects of sigils, boosting healing and damage, providing damage resistance to allies, and slowing enemies.

Playstyle
Zephyr’s playstyle revolves around strategic placement of his sigils and managing his Vino Blast to support his team effectively. His ability to leap to sigil locations grants him unique mobility, allowing him to reposition quickly or escape danger.
In combat, Zephyr can provide sustained healing to allies or disrupt enemy formations with targeted damage pulses. His ultimate, Grand Vin, can be a game-changer in team fights, enhancing his supportive capabilities and providing crucial advantages to his team.
Synergy
Zephyr pairs well with heroes who can capitalize on his sigil placements, like flankers who can lure enemies into traps or tanks who can defend his strategic positions. His healing and support capabilities make him a valuable asset in any team composition.
Counters
Heroes with high mobility or those capable of disrupting enemy positions (like Tracer or Wrecking Ball) can counter Zephyr effectively. Additionally, snipers like Widowmaker can pick him off from a distance if he’s not careful with his positioning.
