Higher ping than usual

Hi , for the past couple of days i have been having way higher ping than usual also it takes a lot of time to get to main menu(stuck at entering game page).Mostly my ping is around 90 and nowadays its nearly 800 and its unplayable.I’m from Turkey and for some reason if i connect to a vpn in Turkey i get nearly the same ping as usual but i’m having a lot of packet loss.My ping is quite alright in other multiplayer games and my download speed is what is should be.What’s the issue ?

Having exact same problem from Turkey, game is unplayable.

vpn are not designed for playing games so yeah you will get packet loss on them .

I’m not using a VPN and still the game is still unplayable for me. I am from Turkey.

Correct but without VPN i can’t even connect to game or when i do, i have 800 ping.

As you can see from your looking glass, your connection degrages drastically once it enters your local provider’s network.

Sadly issues of this nature are increasing as the load on various networks around the world rise as a result of many people working from home, or being stuck at home with little to do but internet related activities like internet TV, games, etc.

The internet is like a network of roads, not a straight line. By using a VPN you’re using a differnt “road” which can potentially bypass the “traffic jam” or “roads” with potholes in them. However, depending on the VPN provider they may not be set up for internet gaming or may themselves be overloaded resulting in packet loss.

I recommend trying the following steps:

Tried every single one of them,still having issues with high ping.

Same, I’ve also tried everything, weird thing is this problem only happens with battle.net servers, others games and apps are fine. Even when I want to send a support ticket it takes a while to submit the ticket then it just won’t let me send it. Everything else is fine, weird.

From the UK and I’m also receiving high amounts of ping, yet when I ask, no one else seems to be having these issues.

Probably due to the lockdown with everyone being at home meaning that the internet is busy as hell.

yeah well in our country lockdown has ended and so has the heavy load on internet . when everybody is sitting at home on internet these things are bound to happen

I think this is due to the new middle east servers. I’m located in lebanon, we are closer to europe than the arabian gulf which is where I’m assuming the new servers are located. As soon as the new servers were opened, my ping shot up from 80ms to 130ms. Please give us the choice to connect to eu servers if needed.

Man this Blizzard support of EU are so clueless.

You guys are getting connected to the server of the middle east (including me). I had matches today with 150-200ms ping because im connected to that server, while we have 1 up and running in Amsterdam.

I just quit the game, it is so annoying.
