They should have just ended OW1 and left OW2 in open beta. Yes. beta was lacking in many areas… but no one is player OW1 now. Lets just get on with it.
The game is painful to play. Even just chilling with some quickplay is a nails down chalkboard experience. Just Hogwatch atm.
The moment they announced it was being replaced. They should have just binned it off then. Could have just been testing random things in OW2 open beta, and having games that are semi interesting.
Funny thing is I’ve actually been enjoying OW1 a lot more lately, kinda like the old days. Not sure if it’s due to taking a year off, or the fact that we all know that OW1 is soon coming to and end, but regardless I’m having those 1-2 hour late night gaming sessions in comp and vc again and loving it again. Overwatch really is an amazing game when things just work and the stars align.
As for binning OW1 as soon as OW2 beta went live, I can see both pros and cons with this move. A lot of people would complain, “why are we being thrown in to a beta by force with no finished game to play?” and others will think like you, as in lets put all our energy and focus in to making OW2 the best it can be, so let’s all get involved in the beta.
I’ve actually came back to competitive recently, sweating hard in game lmao and I am having fun, at least we can play the archives events for some time as well. I still prefer OW classic compared to OW2
I am been having long queue times lately, but really good games… Its like all the bad players left, and only the ones that really love OW has remained…
Brave. DM and TDM have the same basic issues for me and I just switch off totally. Even if I queue with people and they play it to warm up while queueing, I just minimise and play another game while waiting.
Quick improvement for DM… Remove health packs and self healing abilities.
