I hate it when I queue for a match, only to be a backfill for a match that is literally about to finish. I’ve had times where I cannot even choose a hero. I had a time where I joined and I instantly heard “Defeat”. At least put me as backfill for matches I can actually still do something for. It’s really annoying because now I have to queue for 5 minutes again as dps, even with priority requeue.

Really need to start punishing quick play leavers harder.

There should be different priority queues based on how far along into the game you are / how much you managed to play, for example people who backfill into a game when its still in assemble / waiting for doors to open should have minimual priority as realistically it wont make a lot of difference during this period, even on defense you might just have to catch up.
However somebody like you who joined with seconds till the end of the game should be on the highest priority.
In my opinion leavers should be the ones queing for backfilling.
If someone leaves too much, it will be queued more often for backfilling. Something like “Non Priority Queue”

Possibly. But just giving them a time penalty is a lot cleaner and easier to implement.
If you stop people leaving so often, you need less back fill…

I like this idea, as people with internet issues or power issues reasonably should realise they cant play games so should probably stop.
