I dont play tank or hearler i dont like the roles… and im not going to play what i dont like because people play games for fun… not to play whats “most efficiant”… that just turns it into work

Bottom 6 are supports, only Zen is a bit higher (but he barely heals).
Winston is at the bottom there as well.
The only DPS that are below a number of tanks are: Sombra (heavy utility), Mei (heavy utility), DF (assassin style DPS), Widow (assassin style DPS), Tracer (assassin style DPS).
So the only DPS that have lower damage overall than most tanks are the DPS that are either picked for utility or whose purpose is finishing kills, not overall damage.
Above that you have D.Va who only edges out Symm and Genji (another utility and an assassin style DPS), while Orisa and Hog manage to also beat McCree and Reaper - which to my mind is something to worry about, especially with Orisa, but there are worse issues in the game.
Raw numbers:
When it comes to raw damage, the tanks occupy positions 8, 9, 12, 15, 16, 17 and 23.
Supports are at 18, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29 and 30.
Tanks average 11.57k damage per game.
DPS average 13.27k damage per game (15% more).
Supports average 5.47k damage per game.
Now before you say anything about health pools, you should acknowledge that those are alread factored in here in a way. Being alive for more time than others already means additional time to deal damage. Likewise, you have to remember that the extra HP gets directly counteracted by larger hitboxes.
15% is already a pretty big difference, especially when you think about tools that assist in confirming kills. Swinging a hammer is nice and all, but if the targe escapes from your range, you have no proper tool to catch them. Most DPS heroes have a higher range or movement abilities to actually get elims. If you remember, D.Va and Winston are pretty bad with the raw damage, but their value comes from having those tools to reach and chase.
The balancing thing is that the tanks have larger hitboxes and are easier to kill but who cares let’s be real
So winning is entirely up to RNG?

Maybe squshies with no mobility shouldn’t be not with their tank and mobile ones shouldn’t stop moving? Your arguments feels like you want to solo carry games, but tanks mop the floor with you, because you are not willing to work with a team.
Goats was a thing, because they outsustained DPS, not the damage dealt. You can shoot into ceathball till cows come home and damage will be outhealed, but deathball will tickle you to death. You want to be very “pro”, but fail to understand why goats was meta.

Making pinata bigger doesn’t solve sustain problem, they just tickle you to death slower.
If tanks had gold medal at the end on dmg it means they survived WAY more than the dps. the normal thing on M and GM is the tanks to have silver or gold dmg because of that.
It’s not that they do more damage than DPS, it’s that DPS needs to be more accurate and patient. A DPS dies quicker, while tanks don’t have to aim too much and have a lot of health plus healers mostly follow them. Have you ever seen a good widow kill a team in like 5-10 seconds? A damage boosted mcree 2-3 shot a tank? A reaper from point blank range? A Pharah hitting directs while not even damage boosted? A bastion melting a shield? Genji comboing a healer or dps in 2 seconds? sym doing literally any kind of tracking? A soldier hitting his shots? A Mei hitting headshots? A Hanzo one shotting you? Storm Arrow? Torb shotgun? Doom combo? Literally any DPS with 3+ brain cells
Lmao, Sigma get’s virtually glued to the ground for half a second while a huge boulder builds infront of him. Get behind a shield/wall, or heck, literally move at all and 70% of the time, you will dodge it

3-3 was not meta just because of the amount of damage tanks had but came from the amount of sustainability that was available. The comp was popular because they could walk on to point and just outlive the opponent. The high health pools and high healing is what have the comp it’s strength.

Only if tbe dps are playing poorly. If dps are playing well a tank will never out damage them. Well maybe Sigma can but thats getting fixed soon anyway.
I 100% agree. Does anyone else remember when Roadhog was gonna lose his one hit combo?.. Still in the game. Roadhog also has too high of DPS potential in my opinion.
