So I went ahead and be a support never healing people like they did, and you know what, it is fun. I simply attack enemies and heal myself as moira. While they all die I have fun. I can see why supports pocket 1 person only or attack enemies only. I will play as support doing this for awhile, it is so much fun. Who cares what happens to a community like this anyway. They don’t deserve any better.

I rarely ever go near Quickplay, only when I’m playing with friends who are seriously lowskill.
The quality of quickplay from my POV is it’s terrible. So I don’t go near it. Competitive all the way for me. All you can do is report unfortunately.

Saying it out loud is a silly thing to do. But this is the right answer though.
I will say it until they realise they are not getting anything. I won’t heal anyone, I can play however I want, I am the support now. They will learn it.
I did not start it. I am simply doing what others do. They can whine all they want.

I understand where you’re coming from. I’m a Masters support main on my main account (this one is an alt that I use to teach/coach newer or low rank players) and from what I have seen in both high ranks and watching my friends play in low ranks, it’s a mixture of multiple factors:

people are flexing onto support for their weekly challenges, which means there’s a bunch of non-support players who just want to get kills playing support. Others are simply learning a character or even the support role as a whole for the first time and don’t really know what they’re doing.

The devs made healing weaker to the point where every valuable/good support right now is more of a support meant to do damage rather than heal, while non-damage based supports (Lifeweaver and Mercy for example) are horrible and get such little value. So there’s very little incentive to heal. Those of us in higher ranks understand that it’s important to do both and find the right balance depending on character, team comp, enemy damage efficiency, etc. Those players who play casually or are lower rank though, are still struggling to find that balance with all of the recent changes (HP threshold increase across the board, Damage passive being introduced, Tank buffs, etc).

Some people are just trolls or are in it for their own fun and have zero consideration for others… Which is a horribly immature mindset but unfortunately there’s not much that can be done about it. I don’t think they understand that when they lose, it’s most often their faults due to the lack of healing.

even though you are right on paper, you are not a DPS either. so… healing is one of your duties, plus helping the damage input. if you completely ignore the healing part, it is normal for them to whine about it. In that case, though, otherwise, if your healing is around normal levels, there is nothing to complain about.

I totally agree with you. This community is one of the worst, they don’t deserve any heal. I used to play tank, while I am fighting whole enemy team on front pushing, I die with 0 heal. When I look what is going on after I die, they are shooting enemies :D.
I am going support and never healing anyone now. Funny thing is I can be both best healer and best dps in game with moira now when I try but I skip the healing part 
This community does not have any right to complain about it anymore because I am support bro not healer hahaha
