I don’t care ‘‘is only qp qp have a hiddem mmr’’, playing vs top 500 when you barely play comp or you’re a high gold /mid plat is not funny.

FIX IT!

What you’re asking is “prevent people from buying multiple accounts” and this will never happen.

The game is made in such a way that many issues can be fixed by buying a new account. No way they’re going to change that.

Proof is you’ll never see a blupost in a thread like that. Or the thread just gets shut down. :slight_smile:

Were they top 500 currently or did they just have the top 500 icon? Because a lot of people have gotten those top 500 icons from Arcade competitive modes like Lucio Ball competitive so they don’t always tell anything about the player

I don’t think he got from arcade, when I looked his/her profile sr was more than 4000

Okay just making sure. In that case I’m guessing multiple things happened that lead to you facing a top 500 player as mid plat player:
The top 500 player rarely plays quickplay so their MMR in quickplay is relatively low (sometimtes it can be easily as low as diamond) and then they lost a match for some random reason and their MMR plummeted even more. Then you happened to be on a slight win streak bloating your MMR a bit higher than where it should be and then the queue took a bit longer matching up varying MMR players together. You’ll also have to be on the same server in order to avoid latency issues limiting the possible playerpool even more.

With all these factors together this can happen even if you’re a top 500 player in competitive and even if the matchmaking worked properly ¯_(ツ)_/¯

It is quick play, it is not supposed to be competitive. Or balanced. Or fun.

Its QP so you probably had some Top500 on your team or a decayed Top500 account and you didnt see it, it happens sometimes.
What i cant tell you is that they dont put 6 plats vs 6 masters etc, they balance it out and thats proven.

The thing is they ask for government id for sending ticket and verify you. They can easily catch most of those game breaking smurfs but they don’t, guess why :joy:

i’ve seen teams who had the IQ of a salad and teams that could play in plat but stuck in bronze…

only “balanced” thing i see in comp is the SR… and it feels like that’s the ONLY thing influencing the damn MM…

never in any game have i played so many 1sided games in a row then i’ve been playing the last few months…

seems to me they’ve proven their matchmaker is either broken or a total piece of trash

I feel like doing a QP experiment now. I haven’t played the mode in so long, maybe they improved it or something.

Everywhere dude.
They have internal stats about the max difference between matched teams and their average internal MMR (this also affects QP) and no, they dont put 6 members from 1 rank against 6 members of a 2+ ranks, they mix it up.

People however like to take the “screenshot” to “prove” its not working and show 4 diamonds and 2 masters vs 5 masters and 1 GM and those 4 diamonds happen to be decayed accounts etc, just to cause drama and stir things up.

if you got matched with a GM 99% chance that he was in a stack with low lvl players. the teams over all mmr would have been matched so the other players on the top 500 team would have been much lower then you. i have a few top 500 friends and they would bring us way up often 2 some times 3 divisions above where we played.

its often worst to play with a top 500 cus you and your team mates will be way out matched and they have to get mad value every single fight with little to no help.
