I’d still be playing OW2 most of the time (except when I want to play DoomFist) because I prefer it to OW1 but I still think people like you should have the choice to play the first game if you prefer…
Same. Still never cared what others think of a game. I’ll make my own judgement.
Because I can.
The reviews clearly aren’t impacting player numbers. So I’m not sure they are hat bothered, given the relative numbers.
Probably because it isn’t as logical as you think.
For me those are the boring shooter tanks - I want more unique Heroes…
Maybe something like Jeff the shark from Marvel rivals?
Maybe a character that could transport other characters around like Groot?
Would probably be broken af. Fun, but broken.
I think we need both. All types of skill expression should be explored.
How about this hero?
Hero Name: Prism
Backstory: Prism, born Avery Rivera, is a non-binary, transgender activist and brilliant engineer who fights for justice, equality, and inclusivity. Growing up in a vibrant and diverse community, Avery experienced firsthand the struggles faced by marginalized groups. After being injured during a protest, Avery designed a powerful exosuit to continue their mission, transforming into the hero known as Prism. Their suit features rainbow flags and symbols of inclusivity, representing their commitment to fighting for a better world for everyone.
Role: Tank
Health: 500 Health, 100 Armor
Abilities:
- Unity Beam (Primary Fire):
- Prism’s exosuit fires a beam of rainbow-colored energy that deals moderate damage to enemies and grants temporary shielding to allies hit by the beam. This promotes team protection and solidarity.
- Solidarity Shield (Ability 1 - Cooldown: 10 seconds):
- Prism projects a large, forward-facing energy shield adorned with rainbow flags. The shield absorbs incoming damage and grants allies standing behind it a temporary health boost. This ability encourages team unity and provides cover during critical moments.
- Empowerment Aura (Ability 2 - Cooldown: 14 seconds):
- Prism deploys a device that creates an aura of empowerment in a small area, featuring symbols of various inclusive movements. Allies within the aura receive increased damage resistance and a minor healing effect over time. This is ideal for holding key positions and supporting team engagements.
Ultimate Ability:
Inspiring Rally - “Vanguard of Inclusivity”
- Prism activates their ultimate, inspiring nearby allies with a powerful display of rainbow energy. Allies gain a significant boost in movement speed, damage resistance, and a healing over time effect. This ultimate ability empowers the team to push objectives or withstand enemy assaults with renewed strength and unity.
Damage Values:
- Unity Beam: 70 damage per hit (provides 50 shield health to allies hit, lasting for 3 seconds)
- Solidarity Shield: Absorbs 800 damage, grants 50 temporary health to allies standing behind it
- Empowerment Aura: Allies receive 30% damage resistance and 20 health per second for 8 seconds

lol it sounds so dead!
I think big part of those reviews where people annoyed with lack PvE…
I always found OW forums so negative… in Reddit is not like that.
This depends for each person, personally JQ and Ramatra are ones of my favorites tanks.
Reddit does seem to have a lot more rational and logical takes. On top of the forum-esque weird ones. People are a lot quicker to call out the garbage theories there.
Hated JQ when she launched and didn’t touch it for seasons. Started playing her recently, I’m rubbish, but she’s such a fun hero to play.
Maybe be a little more offensige, he feels like a Support disguised of Tank.
Surprised you read that far. There’s a few red flags early on that suggest tis might be bait.
