Hi. I haven’t played SC2 for a few years and had to switch to using the mobile app authenticator to do anything. I can log into Battle.Net and launch SC2 from there but I keep getting ‘Temporary outage of the Battle.Net service’ error despite the fact I can log into Battle.Net without problem and I can enter my password fine when prompted within SC2 itself - it then also prompts for approval from the authenticator app, which is when it claims to have a temporary outage. I have checked the latest topics and cannot see Blizzard announcing any outages at this time. Additionally, if I choose ‘offline’ mode I get a window saying I need to have the whole game installed, which I have, I need to be authenticated with Blizzard, which I’ve done with Battle.Net, and I need to have at least one account in SC2, which I must have because I’ve been playing it for years and never deleted any accounts.
I checked Win 11 settings for games allowed to run and allowed through the firewall and Blizzard launcher is listed and I specifically added the Battle.Net and Battle.Net launcher exe’s as well, but still can’t run the game.
This is very frustrating and any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Same as Drackya; I haven’t played for years. Felt like replaying SCII all the way through. Keep hitting this ‘temporary outage, try again’ issue (which feels very much like a ‘something has gone wrong but we can’t be bothered to give you enough information to fix it’ error).
I’ve tried several times over the last few days, but same ‘temporary outage’ issue.
I’m (currently) still on Windows 10.
Hi. I cannot login to EU servers - “Service is not available”.

Yeah, me too. Same problem. I also contacted Blizzard via a support ticket, but they weren’t any help: they just referred me directly to the forum

So im having this exact issue.
Ive tried reinstalls/repairs/my old laptop.
I’ve turned all devices off and on again
I’ve done things with the firewall that i dont entirely comprehend but my tech savvy friend said that it should have fixed stuff.
I’ve tried a different router at a different house.
I’ve been unable to access EU and just EU on all devices that i still had flying around.
Please help
edit: i should mention i also tried deleting the ptr thing mentioned in other posts but since i couldnt find that im guessing that no longer works. ive also double and triple checked that im not trying to log on to the test server
Same problem for me right now
Having same issues, tried to play a bit today, “There is a temporary outage of the Battle.net service. Please try again later.” , this issue only seems to be happening on EU server.
I have this issue now as well, not possible to play on EU servers, only US or Asian.. what is that?

Hi i’m getting this error on EU.
NA works just fine, i’ve tested 3 different accounts, disabling firewall, clearing cache, reinstalling the game, removing PTR, battle.net beta app, re-installing app, re-installing the game again.
Same here from EU. firewall and cache fine, did everything nothing works
Hi everyone,
I realize the first couple of posts are actually older, but we’ll use this thread for the current login issues.
Just wanted to let you know that the team is aware and working on this. As some posts have mentioned you should still be able to log in through other regions for now, but we’re working to get authentication working in EU as well as soon as possible.
Apologies for the inconvenience and thanks for your understanding!

Hello,
I am experiencing a “temporary outage” error in StarCraft II.
Important details:
-
Same PC and same internet connection
-
One account works perfectly
-
Multiple other accounts (new and old) cannot access the game services
-
StarCraft II is active on those accounts
-
Region set to Europe
-
Issue persists even after reinstall, DNS change, VPN, and cache clear
Game Masters confirmed this is not a standard issue and suggested posting here for developer investigation.
This appears to be an account/service-level bug.
Please investigate.
Thank you.
Thanks for actually responding! I’ll be honest i half expected to never get a response! and im glad im not the only one.
hi, i don’t know if the problem is completely resolved but it’s working again on my side now !
