šŸŽ GD Chat Room (Part 1)

Its the life of regular joe everywhere, it doesnt matter anyway tho as if dont find anything that treats rheuma enough they cant force into anything. Im not sure if could apply for pension nor really want to but if no cure that puts it on remission Im not going to do another random job again. You get same from not doing it so dont see the point suffer more while crawl under some building for minimum wage with a lottery win of pain top of it from autoimmune like rheuma.

Many smaller companys are ran entirely by their heritance, once the 20 year old truck needs gear box changed or anything done the owner orders cut down trees somewhere his family has left him. :joy:

I have issues too, I don’t know if I will be able to work again. At this time its not looking good for me. The only thing the doctors think it could be, is something you are born with and cant be cured or even treated.

Worst is that phase when you have to try figure it out still with doctors and worst if have to hassle with public system, but its why internet was invented and we have cat videos. :joy:

I lost the ablitiy to speak because of the high stress levels. Yeah it is the worst, waiting to get a diagnosis and dealing with the public system.

My brother had mutism but we dont know the reason for it, his just very selective to who he speaks to. His mathematician an getting out of uni now, his still selective but its getting better. I can somehow relate and understand.

Also high level of stress isnt doing anyone any good, I also need to try avoid negative topics and try think positive as I have enough of stress aswell and rather try reduce it by distractions that dont need to think about real life or negativity.

If it can be of any comfort, I do roughly 10,20 net sterling per hour  as a car designer…

I made the same in warehouses, factories and guard and little more on constructions, and as metal worker and roof builder, highest were as trucker and then I paid 200-300$ on gas and 800$ on rent + food + electricity and all other expenses. Living costs here are higher and salary dont seem to be much different only that those are minimum wage tasks instead of designer but still you have lower living costs in italy.

Most who want these salaries but not the living costs do these same works but live weekends on their home country and go through weeks here with food they bring with them and try spend money as little as possible.

I’m sad to tell you I spend the same on rent (though I split it with my partner, so there’s that), life here costs slightly less but not that much I’m afraid (when I was there last month, I’ve seen that groceries have roughly the same price, for instance).

And this year is looking grim, since everything is going to go up in price again

If you ever want to come build metal roofs on winter I might be able provide couch to save on rent for short while till find own place, the pay is below what is considered average wages and the conditions here working outside or on roofs during winter doesnt come even near the salary, im not doing it not with this back anymore but I can get you in one place.

I wouldn’t even know where to start, these fingers are for graphic tablets only, and the occasional pencil and paper, I wouldn’t last 1 hour

Wait, when were you in finland I thought you went scotland. Also finland seem to have dropped on 9. on most expensivest countries. Swizerland, Iceland, Norway, Denmark… and so on.

It was common to get cuts, I didnt get any bad but collegue had even nail go through his palm so cuts needing stiches were considered small by him :joy:

Its a task on roof with using chainsaw and nailgun and hammers and other metal tools, accidents happen. But I didnt like the cowboy builder style hussle the owners were running always trying cut on expenses like not giving us harnesses which is against regulations. They only gave harnesses for appartment buildings but the normal houses you had to just hold onto something there, it was really blatant violation of safety regulations.

i need to add that italy in theory isnt so expensive BUT wages never increased in the last 20 years (only country in entire eu) so is becomin a problem.
Plus the city i live in (Milan) is VERY expensive. Last year i went in uk many times and i noticed that (excluding London ofc) it was cheaper. For a middle range rent here you pay 1000\1200 euro\month.

Btw good sunday! Im goin to feast at lunch with a delicacy called ā€œsalama da sugoā€ with some friends. Unfortunately i cant post pictures but it somethin incredible.

I was always on this belief that if you walked in store in norway, finland you would surrender your whole wallet for daily groceries, would have to compare some pricings maybe it is same now everywhere

Yeah that is same here for 2-3 room appartments, 600-800e is the price that vary for 1 room appartments. Seems we have similar living cost with italy

The country is great for people with 3rd degree education basically, then you use only private health care and get around 5k$/month as average when the minimum is 2k something and your entirely on public systems mercy on everything which doesnt work anymore. :dracthyr_hehe_animated:

Theres so many 3rd degree unemployed engineers here that its common joke that every street corner has few, everyone wanted for better salaries and none want to do other jobs and we dont govern correctly the amount of people being educated so there become too many and now theyre unemployed and unwilling to do anything nonrelated their education either, its kinda silly situation to keep overeducating people past the need for openings, only doctors union have their hand on the amounts of being educated yearly and they keep the amount intentionally low enough to not harm their demand. They are smart.

Good for your union rep Souldefiler. It’s so ridiculous, particularly as it could so easily have been solved if the customer had come down to you with a torch and walked in front.
Walking up somewhere new in the pitch dark isn’t acceptable and both the customer and the bosses should understand this … you could slip/fall and seriously injure yourself and/or be attacked. They’re being completely unreasonable.
Good luck!!

Theres the problem in all cases like these that even if you manage keep your job due union or have legal protection on that they cannot fire you it wont stop them liking you and still making your life hell working in the company. I would try change work asap or take sick leave to make them pay for the time im looking for new job if I would be treated like a slave.
