Impressive Influence buff correction needed

Impressive Influence is supposed to give 100% more rep.
Human racial Diplomacy is designed to give 10% more rep.
In the past the completion of a faction assault would give me 1500 rep or 1650 rep with Diplomacy.
Now it gives me 3150 rep instead of 3300 rep. Please fix it? Because right now Diplomacy affects only the portion of the rep that I get without the buff.

PS: Why can’t I include URL links to wowhead into my posts?

yeah 100% bonus plus 10% bonus make a 110% bonus, it’s correct.

The 10% for Humans is 10% of the original rep, not the rep + Buff.
So you get 1500 for the bonus & 150 for Human = 3150

100% of 1500 = 1500
10% of 1500 = 150

1500 + 1500 + 150 = 3150

No correction needed, the % isn’t compounded but added, as per my explanation.

No, it’s not correct, percentages don’t work that way.

You sure you’re not a Goblin?

All I want is 100% more rep in comparison with the not so distant past. That’s it. Just what it says on the label.
Because otherwise there are so many exceptions with this buff.
It does not apply to Honeyback Hive.
It does not interact properly with the human racial.
It does not apply to Rajani and Uldum Accord.

What else it fails to affect? After the initial announcement I thought for a brief period of time that the buff will affect all rep in the game. That would have been awesome.

for you to do maths properly!

yes they do.

It’s an increase on the base value so you can’t just add the two % values together, I explained the math in my first post. If you don’t understand that then please never ever do anything that involves numbers.

It’s 100% of the base (1500) plus 10% of the base (150).

The base value remains constant.

sorry but i do a lot of things that involve numbers, and this is elementary school math.
you seem to not understand the associative property.
100%of the base (1500) + 10% of the base (150) is equal to 110% of the base (1650).
we are doing the same math, but written in a differnet way, it should not be a surprise as we get the same result, 3150XP total after the bonus’.
unless you did not understand the language, but i will not tell you to avoid doing anything that involves language because I’m a polite person.

Your apology isn’t needed. I do however apologies for misunderstanding your post as I read it as you where agreeing with the OP’s maths where he wanted 10% of the extra 100% on top of the 10% of the base value.

no worries, misunderstandings can happen
i still want to apologize for implying you were not a polite person btw…

The numbers for this are working correctly.

The Reputation increase will only work for Legion and BFA factions that support Paragoning, with the exception of Rajani and Uldum Accord.

Hope that clears it up

You should fix this bug so those reps are included as well.

You got 10% bonus in the past, now you get 110% bonus.

It says “100% bonus” on the label, not “double bonus”.

Why should it interact?

Too awesome for some achievements.
It’s no “Insane in the Membrane” achievement for me and you this time…

That’s not a bug, it’s a design choice.

I would like to have these two reps the Pandaria treatment: When you reached ‘revered’, you could buy an item that gives you double rep for this faction on all chars.

A bad and illogical one. Those reps are by far the worst ones to do.

I would like to have all the reputations to have that, I was not around for pandaland but when I went through it in Legion I was really baffled why they would abandon that system. It is great for alt’ing.

It applies properly with the human racial. Percentages are additive, not multiplicative. Only the base amount is taken for calculations, then all the bonus reps stack on top of each other.

It’s not a bug, it’s purposely done this way so you spend more time inGame.
